I'd dodge the draft too (well more like flat out telling them I refuse to serve and will face whatever consequences the law states for doing so), even if it was a war I'm in full agreement with, because I'm adamantly against the idea of forcing people to risk their lives for something like that. But I don't really think the point is that he dodged the draft so much as he's a massive hypocrite who can't even understand the sort of shit that soldiers have gone through. So when he says stuff like this or does anything regarding the military that isn't derogatory it comes across as insincere at best.
