....honestly, if my girl wanted to wear that at our wedding, I'd be 100% for it. Neither of us are religious, and the traditional dress takes too damn long to get out of the way once we get into our bedroom after the ceremony.

Personally, I'd opt for a tee shirt and some blue jeans, but that's just me. I don't think the attire has much to do with the ceremony. It isn't supposed to be about lavish cakes and dresses that cost more than our cars, after all.
