I'm in the leak, however the password is one I've only ever used for logging into amazon. it was time to change it anyway
I've had two step verification for over a year how do you guys feel
looking at the email names people use is fascinating
daddy.dick.ent@gmail.com the_fuck_police@gmail.com
Meh, seems like all the information is well out of date. I'd be much more concerned with other accounts using similar passwords.
These are not Google accounts with their passwords, these are accounts that were used on some attacked websites and the password comes from those sites. This is worrying for those who use the same password on everything. This also explains why the passwords are old, sometimes incorrect for the mail account but still "correct" and some of the email have the typical "+" sign to know where it came from. With this information we can guess some of the websites that were attacked were, daz3d, xtube, friendster among others.
Most popular passwords: http://pastebin.com/T9PffikD
passw0rd no one could possibly guess that!!!!
I'm not on the list. I almost have a dumb knack for never getting effected by incidents like these.
thank god I am not on that list
Most popular passwords: http://pastebin.com/T9PffikD
for what I've come to expect, 'tinkle' came out of left field there
My account was on the list. The password was from around 10 years ago, but since I am a stupid fuck, I still use a close variant of it today. Changed all my passwords, was about time anyways.
Wasn't on the list but changed my password anyway.
edit: nvm
919 echizen18 What?
I have learned so much a quick googling shows it's the name of an old japanese province, a new japanese city, and a character in "the prince of tennis", who by anime standards is probably something like 18 years old. Judging by the fact this is mostly the product of phishing, I'm going to say there must have been SOMETHING targeted at anime nerds, or even specifically a virus/keylogger/whatever in a torrent of that particular book series. oddly specific, but how else is that password a commonality in compromised accounts?
not on the list i got 2-step auth though so i should be fine either way, which a lot of websites should use more.
yes, got the mega list and my e-mail isn't in it
I'm on the list but it's a password I've never used before.
Wasn't on the list. And hoping no one else is on the list.
All of mine are clear, but changing everything just in case.
Welp, my account was on there, not sure about the password though. Changed to an impossibly difficult password anyways
http://keepass.info/ you guys should get into this
and here I thought that was a secure password
and here I thought that was a secure password
Fun fact: that was my friends password into his cellphone up until two days ago. It tripped everyone up.
apparently people use beardy as a password hint: it's not me
asshole@gmail.com
Whoa. The true, original, proto-asshole; godfather of all other asshole email addresses.
and here I thought that was a secure password
my original password I used for literally everything was 1738cbt everything had that, EVERYTHING I was like 12 and obviously stupid
My e-mail was there. It seems it was an old password(like really old, years old), at least from the 2 first characters the website gave but still, taking no chances, changed password and enable two-step, been putting it off doing that for too long. I wonder how they got it. Yeah checked the file with passwords, I haven't used that one in forever.
My email was in there, but it was an ancient one that I've never used for my GMail account, seems to be unrelated to Google besides it all being GMail adresses.
Why do so many people not have 2-step login enabled? That shit will save your life.
107 users in that list have "penis" in their email address :v:
I'm on there but the leaked password isn't anywhere close to a password I've ever had, let alone the one for my Gmail. Must have been some fake account someone made with my email.
