"Other forms of military cooperation" with Russia include not doing any cooperation
"Other forms of military cooperation" with Russia include not doing any cooperation
They actually train together with their special forces a lot. The entire world is involved in the war on terror and a lot of nations train together to stop pirating off the coast of africa and to prevent incidents like the Spetznas killing everyone they're supposed to save.
[editline]7th June 2013[/editline]
And the US buys a shitton of equipment from Russia, although mainly to use in training and to equip third world allies. Surprise surprise, Russian stuff works better in harsher conditions.
"Other forms of military cooperation" with Russia include not doing any cooperation
They send over a shouty bloke who talks down to them very sternly every once in awhile.
"Other forms of military cooperation" with Russia include not doing any cooperation
That's just the kind of cooperation we're used to, just look at Congress.
I don't even see how you can say that from this. Were the ones growing and Chinas the one who's bubble is about to pop :v:
How?
How?
As a nation, most of what the US consumes is made in the US, it's just crap like technology that is made in China. China is slowly getting to where its own populace can afford products, but till then it's still going to be vastly dependent on other nations. Both in exports and imports, China is extremely dependent. They have to import a vast amount of food just to keep themselves fed, and companies are starting to move their manufacturing to other asian nations and Latin American nations.

Right, and there's no problem with being dependent on other nations. Service sector jobs are growing in China, and wages still continue to slowly climb. Consumerism is actually a thing in China now. Plus it's becoming wealthier and will probably be a first world nation within a few decades.
Wheres the problem?

The air that is so bad that they are making fashion face masks might be a downpoint over there
In America every residence is a military base.
Yes, and it's not like any other industrializing nation has been free from air quality problems.
Plus the Chinese government has been starting to pass reforms and to begin curbing the excesses of pollution.
Yes, pollution is bad in China, but they know this, and the Chinese are starting to actually do something about it.

I'm saying that a depression is coming and there's no real way to stop it. It's not hard to see a problem coming when your economy is dependent on other nations and those other nations are gradually pulling business out.
I will NEVER take Sobotnik seriously, ever.

This would scare me if it weren't for the fact that war is unlikely, if not impossible.
Economic interdependence rocks.
China...will...grow...larger
This same kind of game was played in the Cold War. The US and Soviet Union would try to gain influence in various countries by, among other things, supplying weapons and/or money. Now it's happening between the US and China, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
If Mexico and these other countries play their cards right they can score big time. One year sign contracts with China, telling the US "Well, they hooked us up with...what can you do for us?", then a couple of years later sign deals with the US, telling China "Well, they hooked up with...what can you do for us?"

That could bite them in the ass.
Ecuador: "Well, China hooked us up, what can you do for us?"
America: "WE WILL LIBERATE YOU FROM OPPRESSION!"
Mexico getting weapons for their government is a pretty good thing considering the prices and the necessity for them. Aside from that, they really don't have much to gain since NAFTA is such a hugely beneficial thing for trade they have with North America.

What makes you say a depression is coming?
It's not hard to see a problem coming when your economy is dependent on other nations and those other nations are gradually pulling business out.
Erm, China is investing into other nations and still has a lot of business ties to existing ones.
Can you actually explain the process by which their economic policies will fail instead of vague ones?

I'm not even sure how this is an argument.

You should really look up to what China has been putting into sub-Saharan Africa.
Those countries are virtually Chinese colonies in terms of investment.

this thread made me think of that quote

The scart irony is, Japan was defeated without its homeland being invaded.

Well we did drop two atomic bombs on them before they were defeated.

fuck
Well we did drop two atomic bombs on them before they were defeated.
Exactly. One doesn't necessarily need to invade and occupy a nation in order to defeat it anymore.

Yeah but dropping a nuke on a country now would be an awful idea.

It's not, I can't take you seriously what so ever because of that picture.
It's not, I can't take you seriously what so ever because of that picture.
I'm doubting anybody will take you seriously if you just post random pictures of some dude in a news thread for no reason.
I for one, welcome our new Chinese overlords.
I say we start acting on the Monroe Doctrine.
But what the fuck does China need their Navy in our waters for anyways? Well the American boats are in our waters says China. Yeah, but the rest of the world is more volatile than South and North America. Plus, why deploy a naval force when the Americans are already providing maritime security while also footing the bill. Hell, all you're doing is copying our foreign policy just like you copy our computers and jets.
