And again, using weapons to secure borders =/= shooting at people/refugees. It's like you ignore that on purpose.

It's like you ignore that on purpose.[/QUOTE] if it's a situation that warrants guns then the police will bring guns. if someone's running around with a gun or a bomb then they'll shoot them the same as any[I]one[/I] else any[I]where[/I] else. deploy riot cops to handle riots, deploy counter-terrorists to handle terrorists. this is how it already is and how it should be. you're stressing so much how it's just a "last resort" to "control borders" but never explaining what you think should be changed, why, in what way it would be practical, or even how that's not already what happens. it really just looks like you're antsy that riot police don't want to act like GSG-9. Refugees generally try to avoid border guards, why would they be attacking them? Like, if the refugees suddenly amass an army with actual weapons, of course border guards should be able to protect themselves, but it's not even remotely on the table right now.
