That was years ago.
I'm just surprised they didn't somehow blame it on gypsies.
Blaming things on gypsies is my job. I sued daily mail for it. Now everything is the Ukrainian's fault.
Every time I see a thread title involving the sun and danger. I always have to come in and read the comments until I feel safe.
NASA has a spotty record predicting these things.
its absolutely true because I read it in the daily mail
nah man its just trying to give us a friendly pat on the back for such a good job

Isn't that from the start when he mentions that they used "all of Earth's remaining fissile material," to build the thing.
So every 11 years the sun gets extra bitchy and has weird things shooting out of her.
She missed it this time...
The sun's pregnant.
I'm pretty sure it'll turn into a black hole and eat our whole solar system.

The sun has skin cancer
The sun isn't an evenly burning ball of fire. No surprise it doesn't keep to an exact schedule
Auroras here I come.

Universe confirmed for Bowsers Castle.
Absolutely ludicrous! In the second photo there is no WAY that the Earth is that close to the Sun. Wake UP SHEEPLES!!!
These comments on the Daily Mail page are hilarious.
Whatever NASA says that something will happen, It will NOT happen.
For example, take In account the recent meteors and the pole inversion bullshit with the planets' alignment. :v:

We've gotten so used to life that we forget how extraordinary it is...

The solar cycle isn't a NASA prediction, it's a general astronomy prediction. If you measure the number of sunspots detected on the sun every year, you get a graph that looks like this:
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/28/Sunspot_Numbers.png[/t]
It repeats every 11-12 years, and is currently unexplained. Right now, we should be at a peak, and as you can see in the photo, there's like 3 or 4.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle
So all that is happening is that they expected more sunspots in 2012 but there weren't so they think there might be more than usual this year. Essentially a double peak.
Okay. That sounded a lot scarier than it is.
Maybe the sun has just finished it's puberty, that could explain the missing spots.

Those meteors were unpredictable, and NASA never said anything about any pole inversion, that was a bunch of idiot doomsayers.
The Sun can suck my dick
