My guess is the snake charmer who told him that is an idiot and him saying he was totally fine and only went to hospital because of worried family is also bullshit. More like "Oh I just bit a snake, and will look like quite the tool if I say it didn't work to stop the venom". Just a hunch, I am no snake expert.
