He means the Government. The California Government hates guns, so do politicians from California (Feinstein).
Ahnold didn't hate guns...
Well eh some of 'em can be used to reload ammo but a $1000 fine is pretty hefty for something inherently not dangerous
How many gang bangers are going to be reloading their spent brass. Do they do drive-bys then drive back 3 hours later and pick up all the spent casings?
Suck it, bitches!
For some reason, G11 ammunition reminds me of Pez candy packs. Talk about gunpowder-propelled diabetes. (Or propellant-propelled diabetes, whatever)

Literally the only people this affects are enthusiasts and hobbyists.
I don't even like guns and I think this is ridiculously retarded.
Well, Kids in NY won't get to experience using a .22 casing as a whistle like the rest of us normal people
Is New York trying to one up California in shitty gun laws again?
You guys all know that Washington D.C. is separate from New York, right?
You guys all know that Washington D.C. is separate from New York, right?
No, they are obviously only 20 miles apart.
Rules for literally everything, when you walk into this country there is at-least three pieces of law for literally anything you can see.
Funny. You could probably walk around with a 5-foot length of sharpened brass piping and not get in trouble. But the second you pick up a casing HE'S GOT LIVE AMMO DROP HIM.
He means the Government. The California Government hates guns, so do politicians from California (Feinstein).
'Hate' seems like the wrong word, the regulations are just fairly strict compared to other states. I don't think using your ID to buy ammunition is really that dystopian.
No, they are obviously only 20 miles apart.
Are you serious or??? They are ~230 miles apart...
Suck it, bitches!
Fuck now I want some carmel now
I'm not sure if you know where New York even is but this article is clearly about Washington D.C.
Are you serious or??? They are ~230 miles apart...
That sarcasm thing sure is difficult to read. [editline]9th September 2013[/editline] Actually, I'm not even sure. :v:
New York's new liberal mayor sure knows how to stamp out crime
That sarcasm thing sure is difficult to read. [editline]9th September 2013[/editline] Actually, I'm not even sure. :v:
Of course I'm being seriously. :v:
You know, a lot of guns have stamped firing pins that can be used to identify the gun by how it strikes the bullet. Honestly, though, if Bloomberg hadn't already jumped the proverbial shark, this would be somewhat surprising. At this point, though, he's pole vaulting over it in a tutu.
This is completely untrue, and stamped firing pins is the most useless thing you can possibly do to track a gun down. Removing the die from the head of a firing pin is literally a 2 second job that can be completed any number of ways, you could even scrape it off with a rock.
welllllll [t]http://www.ammocoding.com/images/bullet1_home.jpg[/t] this argument pops up every now and then with gun-regulation nuts, basically we burn serial numbers onto every casing so we can trace what batch/store/person it came from
Cases are basically gaskets, as far as metal goes they're soft as butter, yes even the steel ones are as soft as steel can possibly be made. Literally all you'd have to do to damage the serial numbers beyond recognition is run the headstamp over some sand paper by hand for a few seconds. It's not the ability to trace the cartridges that they're after though, they want to raise the cost so much nobody but the can afford them, except for the wealthier classes of society that is. Do as I say, not as I do after all.
