Wait was he not revealed in the most recent seasons finale or somesuch?
Hahaha just the thought of Karl Pilkington as the doctor makes me smile ear to ear. Can just imagine him stepping into some giant cavernous room full of crazy machines and aliens and just going "Yeah... bit much innit?" And shuffling back out again. God what a great show that would be.
Only Doctor Who can pull off live Sci-Fi. It's so classically hammy fun that nobody would notice. It's timeless if you pardon the pun.
It isn't a live episode
I'm going to be super disappointed if it's not Nicholas Cage.
It'll probably some nobody who's been in a bunch of tv shows/theatre productions
I thought we'd wait until the 50th anniversary episode to find this out, I don't see why they have to rush it out now
Because it would be 100% guaranteed to leak the second they started filming
I prefer they get someone completely new. Like what they did with Matt Smith, not alot of people knew about him until he played as The Doctor.
I don't want the doctor to be revealed this way. I would rather wait and be surprised.

did the source 404 for anyone else?
Gary Oldman please
It'll be Jen Barber from IT Crowd, and she still won't know anything about computers so she won't be able to pilot the TARDIS.
please let it be hugh laurie please let it be dr house
i'm kind of hoping it's an old fart so i won't have to wade through tens of thousands of people fawning over the actor when i look up anything vaguely who-related
So may rumours, most I which I'd be happy with. Daniel Rigby or maybe Peter Capaldi so we can have an older Doctor again. There's also a way around the 12 regeneration limit to get round, although that's probably sorted already.
spoilers its karl pilkington
"Never did like to travel, these alien cultures are too weird, this one fella' offered me some kind of space parasite and my mate Ricky insisted that I eat it so that I don't offend them. Had the runs for the rest of the night, that's foreign food for you."
Why do Americans care so much? For us brits, It's just another episode of another long-running TV series. [sp]And a "whovian" is not a thing. and it never will be.[/sp]
it's The Stig.
it's The Stig.
It's not. It's the Stig's bow-tie wearing cousin.

it's steven moffat
I've been meaning to really start watching Doctor Who, but I've been putting it off because I've been busy watching other shows. It's too bad, I'd like to be excited about the upcoming reveal. I mean, I still sort of am, but it doesn't mean as much to me, considering I'm still stuck on Nine.
-snip- Edit: I slept on it, and now realize just how terrible an idea that would be.
I'm voting Bill Cosby. Get in the Bipity Bopity Wibbily wobbily
I change my vote to Bill Cosby.
spoilers its karl pilkington
THAT WOULD BE F*CKING AWESOME!!!
i'm voting for jeff bridges
i'm voting for jeff bridges
That is a whole different Timelord there buddy. "First there was The Doctor, then there was The Master, and now? The most powerful Timelord of them all: The Dude."

Simon Pegg? I know he was in season 1 and hes probably too big for this now but...Simon Pegg?
Simon Pegg? I know he was in season 1 and hes probably too big for this now but...Simon Pegg?
Never noticed that White guy was Simon Pegg before.
I think they should use that opportunity and not have the actual 12th doctor appear on that live show. Have him first appear in a "regular" episode And then have someone, I don't know, maybe Paul Foot to be the one live. Maybe it would seem like a dick move And maybe I have never been dedicated enough fan of anything, but I would much rather have him revealed in an actual episode.
