Simon Pegg?
I know he was in season 1 and hes probably too big for this now but...Simon Pegg?
I find it entirely possible if he likes the show well enough to not care about money.
So may rumours, most I which I'd be happy with.
Daniel Rigby or maybe Peter Capaldi so we can have an older Doctor again.
There's also a way around the 12 regeneration limit to get round, although that's probably sorted already.
Oh my christ Peter Capaldi would be the best doctor.

Tommy Wiseau please
its will be Clarkson
Probably the only thing that would get me even remotely interested in watching this show.

I have just been in stitches for about 5 minutes after reading that. This needs to happen, even if it's just a spoof...
It is gonna be Morgan Freeman

Whoever the new doctor is, you can be assured Moffat will make sure he's perfect...
For the fangirls.

the hell is with people thinking he's fan pandering
nobody actually changes the scripts for fanservice

Next doctor will be a being of pure energy

He's perfect in every way
To be honest I'm kind of hoping for a new writer as well, I like Moffat's other stuff but I really can't enjoy any of the stuff he's done on Doctor Who, I hate to sound like I'm adverse to change but I honestly think Russel T Davis and David Tennant were a lot better than Matt and Moffat.
River takes the role of the new Doctor because she's so great and perfect and *unreadable due to script being smudged by unknown white substance*. Moffat dies the day after due to over-exertion masturbating on his new script where River saves all the universes.

You're kidding, right?. The way the show works has been completely changed since Moffat has became head. He was great when there were people to keep him on a leash (draw your attentions to 'the Empty Child')
Calling it now:
It's Martin Freeman.

Prove me wrong.
finally, maybe I can start watching it again.
My bet is still on Piers Morgan
then everyone could congregate on who their least favorite doctor is instead of fighting over which is the best
Will Smith is next doctor.

The Fresh Doc of Galifrey?

If there's been any suggestion in this thread I genuinely want, it's this

I lost interest in the show as soon as Moffat got in control and the "whovian" bullshit started, it just became too cringeworthy for me to watch.
He tries too hard to please the fandom, the weeping angels got driven into the ground due to overuse and stopped being scary, just because the fans were obsessing over them at the time.
And he tries too hard to be ~progressive~, shoving in references to social media (The fact that he used Habbo Hotel is proof that he's scraping the bottom of the barrel for this) and suddenly making all the characters secretly pansexual isn't how you modernize a show.
I'm suprised that people still even say stuff like "lel XD it's so british you wouldn't understand it!!!! go back to your inferior american sitcoms you scum *puts on fedora*", the "British Humor" part was one of the few things he mutilated when he tried getting people from the US to watch it.
In short, the show has deteriorated the same way as The Simpsons.

NOW this is a story all about how
Time got flipped and turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the Doctor of the Universe
In west Galifrey born and raised
Killing Daleks was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all stealing some TARDIS outside of a museum
When a couple of aliens who were up to the worst
Started making trouble in my universe
I got in millions of fights and everyone got scared
They said 'When he knocks four times, your song will end'.
How does everyone feel about Benedict Cumberbatch being a possible doctor?

Yeah from season 5 onwards it's been a steady descent into shit. Sometimes a decent episode pops up, but for the most part its bad. Sorry but being around for a long time doesn't excuse it, there are many shows on TV right now that are so much superior in the plot and story part it's not even funny.
Last 2-3 seasons of Who have been terrible, only reason people watch it is because it's the Doctor, otherwise it would be another mediocre tv show.

He doesn't suit the role. I personally want an older (30+) doctor, so the fangirls (Tumblr, Twitter, etc) stop being annoying.

Make that 40 or 50+, would be even better.

Yeah.

I can't wait for Moffat to leave after Season 8.

Me too. He has the ability to write great episodes, but for some reason he hasn't. He's had 3 seasons now to get into gear but it's just getting worse. He has to go.

I will admit he was a tad better in Season 7 Part 2, some episodes were a bit bad but not as bad like they usually are, I actually enjoyed Season 7 Part 2.

What?
The next doctor should be an overweight balding old man who's really cantankerous.

I liked singular episodes of The Walking Dead but that doesn't mean it's not one of the most convoluted and weirdly strung shows on TV right now. Heck for quite a time I enjoyed Lost but looking back at it for the most part I detested it.
Ignoring flaws just because some parts are good is bad practice. It's one of the reasons I can't stand the fanatical fans of shows like this because they can end up doing downright idiotic things like "fan headcanon" where people try and act like a show is better than it actually is or a writer is smarter than they really are.
Not saying you're like the fanatical fans at all Xonax, just saying it's never really worth ignoring many flaws for the sake of a few stand-out moments.
