12th Doctor to be revealed in live TV special on Sunday - Polidicks

Hope it's Peter Capaldi. I also kind of hope it's Chris Addison. Basically I want the next series of Doctor Who to be some kind of mad crossover with The Thick Of It.

Season 5 was great, and the first part of season 6 was okay - about halfway through there was one godawful episode and since then loads of episodes are godawful its like moffat had this sudden epiphany on how to be absolutely terrible

Why can't John Hurt be the next doctor. I assume he's going to be doctor 8 1/2, but I wish they would bring in an older guy.

Peter Capaldi is awesome. I've been a fan for ages, and this is a fantastic choice.

Interesting choice considering he was already in Doctor Who in season 4.

Peter was also in Torchwood: Children of Earth playing one of the bad guys so...
