I can't count the times I've seen an E3 demo even after the release of a game and thinking to myself: "Man, I wish I could play this demo". More developers should do this, it would be neat as fuck.
Why don't they release the E3 demos on the Wii U and 3DS e-shop?
100 best buy stores throughout America? Do they have any idea how fucking CROWDED those stores will be? You'll be lucky to even be able to play it before the event is over.

the gaming press would be PISSED.
Microsoft did the same thing you suggested one year at E3. After that, they stopped doing it. the gaming press more or less wants the general public away from these demos so they can get page hits during the busiest part of the year for them.
Not to mention, E3 demos are generally of bad build quality so there may be concerns of glitches/crashes.
Wish they'd do a similar thing across pond here in the UK & Europe

I'm like this close to getting a WiiU but i'd like a hands on demo before I grab one (the price is dropping all the time and a ton of Nintendo 1st party titles are coming out, I mean you could have got a basic WiiU bundle for £150 the other week)

Get ready for fake character rosters, its not a Super Smash Bros game without them.
I think it would be nice if Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo allowed you to download the E3 demos on your console as well.
