Not getting a dozen 60¢ soft tacos?
Who cares? After they discontinued the chili cheese burrito, I never came back.

They always discontinue the good shit. RIP queso crunchwrap, chicken flatbreads...
It tastes like mush. Literally, every burrito I've had from tacky bell is filled with a past-like texture that somewhat resembles meat, cheese, and sour cream. If you honestly think that's "good", you need to sit down at a real mexican restaurant.
This is getting disagrees? What kind of magic Taco Bells are you guys going to? Every thing I've got there tastes like ass, except for the things that are impossible to fuck up like chips and soda.
Just FYI guys, I'm pretty sure the 'salad' menus are there not because people go into fast food places looking for salad, but because:
- Someone stopping in with their family might not eat meat or tacos.
- Someone in a hurry (the reason we have fast food?) might not want to look for a convenience store or shopping market, and certainly not a restaurant.
It's a good business plan, whether you think it's funny or not.

Seriously! I mean, I got nothing against people that enjoy it, I admit it TASTES fine, but seriously, the texture is absolutely foul and it always looks like ass.
When I think "eating healthy" fast food isn't on the list... Lame, now I'm hungry for Tacos.
I don't know why fat in general though has this massive stigma to it
All fat does is increase cholesterol levels, which is bad if you have a ton of it all the time but otherwise completely harmless. Even saturated fats which increase bad cholesterol aren't really that bad within a certain amount every now and then. And if you have a lot of non-saturated fats then that's even better because it increases good cholesterol (which breaks up bad cholesterol).
Of course cholesterol is terrible for you if you have too much as that's what leads to shit like heart attacks, clogged arteries, etc. But it's no different than sugar or other starches (like breads or potatoes) in that if you don't have it all the time or way too much then it might as well be harmless, if not beneficial.
That said one item from taco bell is likely to have enough fat in it to be more than enough of your daily fill of fats, which is why I'd only eat there once in awhile instead of every day or a whole bunch in one day.
Fat is not bad at all, I don't understand why people try to avoid it as much as possible. If you exercise enough you'll be just fine. If there's one thing you should at least try to avoid eating too much of it would be simple carbohydrates and abnormal amounts of sugar. The people that say fat is bad are the same people that want to lose weight while doing fuck all.
also real mexican food has way more fat and shit in it, which kinda deters me from eating it often
mexican people seem to be doing just fine lol
The funny thing is that the vast majority of "Mexican" restaurants in America don't serve actual Mexican food.
That's a fairly common misconception. Most of them do serve actual mexican food, but they also serve a large amount of "american-mexican" food, such as burritos. Burritos did not originate in Mexico.
I just spent a week in Aguascalientes, trust me, I know what real mexican food is/tastes like, and taco bell is in a completely different spectrum of nastiness.
I haven't been to taco bell in like 7 years. Do they still have that blue mountain dew? That was pretty good.

Yeah, it's called "baja blast".
Um, excuse me everyone but I feel the need to ask this.
Why the fuck are people walking into a fast food joint and expecting healthy foods?
Ate a Cheesy Crunch taco last night. Was fucking amazing, but boy, it did NOT agree with my stomach.
it did NOT agree with my stomach.
Noted. Thanks for telling us.
why do you people seem to think fast food is just somehow completely unhealthy ???
It's not like there's MAGICAL UNHEALTHINESS ATOMS coating the damn thing; Calories are calories, and macros are macros.
The main problem with fast food is that it's energy dense and easy to overeat.

Fast food is usually highly processed so you've got yourself a fuckton of added sugar, added sodium and most of all, shitload of trans and saturated fats.
Also for the record i've never gotten sick or diarrhea or whatever off taco bell, and that honestly just seems to be a dumbass internet joke.
This is getting disagrees? What kind of magic Taco Bells are you guys going to? Every thing I've got there tastes like ass, except for the things that are impossible to fuck up like chips and soda.
they had some tacos for a month last year that tasted great and where about a buck.

Added sodium i'll agree with, so much fast food is salty as fuck, but added sugar really depends on what you're eating. Most chains don't have trans fats in their food any more, and saturated fat is pretty inconsequential.

You'd be surprised
Almost all "nacho" sauce you get from anywhere is going to be loaded with transfats, with the exception of many store bought ones simply because it's easy to read ingredient labels in a store so most people will outright avoid it if they notice it and care. I'd even wager that any creamy sauce/creamy dressing/margarine/butter/etc that is from a non-consumer brand (i.e. newman's own or something) will likely be loaded with the stuff.
Any type of restaurant-level margarine or buttery-spread will also be loaded with it, because its cheaper to buy and store in bulk when that cheesy/butter/etc product is loaded with processed fats like transfats (I think its also what allows them to stay pretty much universally soft or "creamy" in all temps).
I don't know if any cooking oil I know of uses transfats though, but it wouldn't surprise me if so. Your average vegetable oil tends to just be mostly saturated fats.
Transfats you want to avoid at all costs because they increase bad cholesterol like saturated, but also decrease good cholesterol, so its basically giving your bloodwork a big "fuck you" when you have it. Not to mention its completely processed/artificial, if you care about that sort of thing.
beefy nacho loaded grillers.
that is all.
It keeps your metabolism working to digest food. If you just have a giant meal you are offloading TONS of carbs/protein/etc onto your body at once which tends to crash metabolism, encouraging your body to just store nutrients instead of use them, and if you eat to fullness it'll often cause you to be tired as well. Small meals however keep you digesting, and keeps your metabolism working throughout the day, and encourages your body to use nutrients as it gets them instead of just storing them.
It's small in the end but every little bit helps. You don't have to do the "6 meals a day" thing to be fit and healthy but it can help you burn off calories more efficiently and help energy levels.
But most importantly it helps control food cravings and over-indulging, which is the main thing that can cause you to just eat too much or the wrong stuff.
On the flip side, if you're trying to gain weight it's easier to eat more calories over six meals than it is over three, you won't fill yourself up as often and then be unable to meet your goals.
How can anyone hate Taco Bell, it's delicious
I'd take Taco Bell and exercise over some fad shit like paleo any day of the week
lmao

real mexican food is more than just tacos and burritos, which in Mexico are considered junk food/fast food like how Americans think of hotdogs

It's fucking packed with preservatives and chemicals. Not to mention most fast food joints have the dirtiest environments of any restaurant. Plus, all their burritos look like puke/shit inside.

So where exactly did I state otherwise?
Because i'll be the first to agree that trans-fats should be outright banned entirely.

oh no EVIL PRESERVATIVES AND CHEMICALS!!1111
ugh
Also of course the inside of a burrito looks like puke, it's a fucking burrito. All of them look that way. What do you honestly expect it to look like?
Besides, it's pretty meaningless to judge a food by how aesthetically appealing it is.
grilled loaded potato burrito represent
Only reason to go to Taco bell is for the Baha Blast, that shit is the best.

You've never had a good burrito then.

But meh, it's your body, if you enjoy being overweight and having digestive issues, more power to you.
