;34980982']Social democracy =/= socialism. But yea, that's pretty much it. Welfare state with a progressive tax, but free markets. It's what most of western Europe has, but the Nordic countries have it the strongest.
Frankly it's a terrible summary. "i hate commies fuck any socialism" is totally a good criteria for voting, am I right?
Spoiler: Putin wins I'm not exactly a political guy, and I'm 2 years away from voting, but I'd say that Prohorov is not a bad guy. Zuganov - CPRF (commies) are, well, commies. I hate them all so much. Zhirinovsky - LDPR (Liberal Democratic Party, I think) are basically Putin's bitches. Mironov - A Just Russia is social-democratic (I think that's what nordic countries have? free-ish market with huge taxes on the rich?), as wikipedia tells me. I'm not a fan of socialism in any form, so I'll pass on those. Putin - United Russia - Ruled the last 12 years, and look where that got us.
Good. Hopefully in the two years before you vote you'll learn something about politics. Like, for starters, what the political systems and ideologies you're referencing actually mean.

I don't know if you can log in with facebook or not, but should be okay. One problem - it's all in Russian. Try it. If you're okay with confirming the capcha every fucking 5 or 10 minutes.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/dUNyW.png[/t] Why do the people in the corner always look so suspicious.
I feel sorry for you guys, with your only choices being crazy xenophobes. Hey wait a minute that's basically the only fuckers who make it into politics. I'm seeing a pattern.
Everything in our country is rigged, like the entire thing. Including the Central Election Commission - they just won't let someone who is not accepted by members of government themselves go trough. So our elections are not only rigged like fuck, they're entirely fucking fake, and only reason to go there is to try to vote the fuckers down, which is impossible, but one can think 'I've done my best'. Tomorrow is a day of protest in most of our cities, and from Putin's comments on that it sounds like the protests are going to be OMONed into oblivion.
Why is there no free vodka party?
Why is there no free vodka party?
Because it's cheaper than the food.
Why is there no free vodka party?
There actually were a "Beer Loving Party" back when one could register the party without approval.
He will spend 128 trillion of rubles on blowjobs and whores.
Guys, Just Russia is damn ridicolous. And yes, the hater society of russia agitates people to vote for prohorov, but most anti-putin guys will vote will spoil the voting paper. Prohorov is actually the best alternative to all the others, or the least bad candidate
Apparently webcams were on for a long time.
Putin won, 64%. I must leave that country or it will take me with it to hell.
"I told you we'll win this fight! We won this fight!" I facepalmed so very hard when Putin said that.
no shit he won ohh, I can't wait for gas prices to rise again
And protesters at Pushkin square in central Moscow got beaten down live... youTube videos will probably follow later. Shit was... disturbing. I sometimes regret not living in Moscow. All remarkable things only happen there.
You call that remarkable?
Why I shouldn't? Not the fact of beating up, of course. But the fact that people are no longer scared. OMON beating people is kind of ordinary thing since 2008 around here, sadly...
Is Russia really that bad there? My parents are encouraging me to study abroad because they think itll be good for me and I've always wanted to goto Russia but should I? I'm American BTW

Quite good, I must say, from what I've heard from Americans that studied at the Ural State University, they liked it here.
So can someone explain why all these cameras have been installed?
After the parliamentary elections in December everyone said there had been massive fraud (because there was) so they did this so people could watch and see if anyone did anything dodgy People did dodgy stuff anyway, so we now have government-made video evidence of electoral fraud, so it will be interesting to see what happens with that

Like most of the Dagistani cameras were shut off for an hour or so after they've got cought on video doing massive ballot stuffing. I wonder, what have they been doing during that "dark" hour and does it have something to do with the fact that Degistan voted more than 90% for Putin?..

They had a bus of drunks traveling around the country and voting many times for guess who.
