Man, if the first female president turns out to also be the first female president impeached, it'll turn into a shit show.
Unfortunately my fear is that a lot of people love her simply because she's a woman and that scares the shit out of me. It takes little to no effort to find reasons why she's scum, but yet people seem to love her. It blows my fucking mind. Trump is not a politician at all and that's bad, but a verifiably bad one is, in my opinion, actually worse.
Man, if the first female president turns out to also be the first female president impeached, it'll turn into a shit show.
Women's rights will be set back, and more misogynists like Trump will rise up and use this as a example of how inferior women are.
This is still just early voting ballots which favor Hillary. 2 AM is when tonight's votes start coming out I heard somewhere.
vote libertarian
no we're not starting this again in this thread....
This is still just early voting ballots. 2 AM is when tonight's votes start coming out I heard somewhere.
I highly doubt this
Man, if the first female president turns out to also be the first female president impeached, it'll turn into a shit show. Like jesus christ can you imagine what the public reaction to that would be?
a whole bunch of "I told you so"'s including from yours truly.
no we're not starting this again in this thread....
It's a legitimate option and the only option he faces What's wrong with that?
I really dont get it why do the candidates with the lowest approval ratings win?
Because the Republican party is basically in a coma right now and the Democratic party has been having the circlejerk of the century for the past 8 years.
Obama is rolling out
actually... thats exactly what sander's has been asking for from clinton, a seat at the platform table. Clinton has been consistantly saying "well its my WH not yours" but he did garner 10 million votes to her 13 million, thats actually saying something about how the platform needs to be built. Clinton has consistantly positioned herself as being left of sanders, while simultaniously being right of him in policy, but she's never once said she would push for any of the measures that he championed to ease wealth inequality. Sure she would do such and such, but she always added that she would do it in a pragmatic way, which means watered down and ineffective
Apparently the votes being counted in cali at the moment are only the postal votes, and the actual turnout votes haven't been touched. He's probably going to close the gap since he always wins with turnout, but the interesting thing is by how much.
Honestly, if I was a Republican I'd be voting for Gary Johnson. A two former Republican governor ticket is something I would've wanted on the actual ticket. Yeah, they got some wild positions here and there, but Gary seems like a guy who can compromise. I for sure wouldn't vote for this guy:
Bernie as Hillary VP is unlikely but at least if that ever happen, it will make the campaign interesting and less boring until November.
Bernie as Hillary VP is unlikely to happen but at least it will make the campaign interesting and less boring until November.
I don't see in anyway that happening. Personality-wise they'd be a horrible fit, demographics-wise they're both white and old, and lastly Bernie won't like being put on a backseat as Bill is inevitably the second hand gal to Hillary on most issues.
Interestingly enough I overheard the pollworkers complaining about how many people came in thinking that they were registered for Dem when the record said Republican or Independent, and there were two people in the polling room with me complaining about how the record said that they were republicans when they were apparently lifelong dems.
Oh of course that would happen, really convenient isn't it? Huh? Huh?
Oh of course that would happen, really convenient isn't it? Huh? Huh?
This is what I heard the pollsters saying. It literally happened right infront of me. I'm not saying it means anything, but it happened.
The VP is an insignificant office anyway. All they do is attending funerals.
The VP is an insignificant office anyway. All they do is attending funerals.
and if they promise to be quiet, they get to attend the senate (this is litterally a rule, the VP cannot speak in the senate). Also they are allowed to speak once a year to call in the president at the state of the union.
Regardless of who won what, today is a great day for democracy and people power.

Politico have put out a pretty great postmortem on the Sanders campaign, reading through it now http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/bernie-sanders-campaign-last-days-224041#ixzz4AxOnknzu
“I don’t know who advised him that this was the right route to take, but we are now actively destroying what Bernie worked so hard to build over the last year just to pick up two fucking delegates in a state he lost,” rapid response director Mike Casca complained to Weaver in an internal campaign email obtained by POLITICO.

Top Sanders aides admit that it’s been weeks, if not months, since they themselves realized he wasn’t going to be win, and they’ve been operating with a Trump’s-got-no-real-shot safety net. They debate whether Sanders’ role in the fall should be a full vote-for-Clinton campaign, or whether he should just campaign hard against Trump without signing up to do much for her directly.
VP can often act as an adviser as well depending on their experience. Biden I'm sure has helped Obama out sometimes even at an emotional level. Someone like Hillary I can see being more secluded and independent from the VP.
I hate to say this but Sanders needs to work with Clinton right now on mixing his platform with hers or else the democrats might lose the white house to trump
Wow, really thought Sanders would be doing a bit better than this in California. He got wrecked. [editline]8th June 2016[/editline]
I hate to say this but Sanders needs to work with Clinton right now on mixing his platform with hers or else the democrats might lose the white house to trump
I don't really see this working out. We'll have to see how Clinton does against Trump in the future. Best Sanders can do is talk about Trump's policies and how insane they are.
Remember /pol/ is always right

Remember, you've got a good percentage of Sanders fans pledging to vote trump or 3rd party in november, and if that happens then the GOP scores If Clinton does not work with him, she could fail
Remember /pol/ is always right
Yeah they're so right that they reach the end of the universe into a realm of insanity
Disagreed, Clinton needs his 11 million votes or else she'll lose to Trump. Sanders voters moving to Trump would honestly be an anomaly I think. That's a pretty huge swing.
wouldn't it be best for some sanders to go 3rd party?
