Why is everyone so negative in this thread? That looks like a cool concept.
You have a place called Ziferblat, and you don't try to turn "the place with the FUCK TON of grandfather clocks" into a reality?
how do they plan on making sure people pay per minute.?
bah it looks like the back corner of a Value Village
You have a place called Ziferblat, and you don't try to turn "the place with the FUCK TON of grandfather clocks" into a reality?
Considering the budget for the place, the most the dude could hope for is to paint many grandfather clocks.
So, do they have someone there that actually makes coffee for you? It sounds like a "serve yourself" type thing, as they said the food is in cupboards.
Why would I want to go to a place that has an incentive to serve me slowly
They don't serve you at all. You make your own coffee and do your own dishes. And THAT is why it's so cheap.
this sounds rather nice, but yeah charge more tho.
It's like it's been decorated by Dollorama
3 quid an hour. How much do Londoners pay in average for both expresso and normal coffee? 2 quid?
Seems like a cool place to hang.
I have a feeling that this idea wouldn't fly at all. And the interior looks like a result of a mix of some rather poor life choices and someone's garage sale. It doesn't look cozy, it looks cheap-ass.
We have some of those here in Rostov, its been successful so far. I think one of them is owned by the guy mentioned in the article. People often rent the place out to hold seminars and such, and they have themed events, like 80-s movie night or tabletop games night.
buzzword is a buzzword
Infinite recursion, don't go there, you'll break the universe :v:
3 quid an hour. How much do Londoners pay in average for both expresso and normal coffee? 2 quid?
I dont know about London but up north its around £3.50 from a Starbucks, £1.50 from McDonalds, and 50-80p from a local cafe.
I dont know about London but up north its around £3.50 from a Starbucks, £1.50 from McDonalds, and 50-80p from a local cafe.
I don't drink coffee, but that's sounds pretty much the same as in London, except the cafés cost a couple pence more than where you're at.
This actually looks pretty cool, though I get the feeling they'd could be bankrupt by someone with a large bag and a lot of nerve.
As others have said, I like the idea and I'd go to one of these, just not that one
I don't drink coffee, but that's sounds pretty much the same as in London, except the cafés cost a couple pence more than where you're at.
proper independent places charge less than or the same as starbucks for a better quality product made by better staff. starbucks is such a ripoff but it's only slightly worse than costa and all the other places
shh 5 cent coffee just gotta get in and out real quick
no use going in in the first place if the coffee is shit (which it probably is) that said though, this is an interesting idea
if the coffee is shit (which it probably is)
not sure why you'd assume that
not sure why you'd assume that
the low price might be a hint. though coffee taste is subjective.
Shitty looking places can have some of the best food. I'm sure this could also apply to cafe's coffee and atmosphere's.
