• Mass shootings to be completely prevented, victims cry in joy as Feinstein tells congress to take ac

Didn't the offenders behind one of the recent school shootings all have a copy each of a school-shooting-based Stephen King book? Where's the political movement to ban that? Every new entertainment media gets blamed for this shit; film did initially. Comic books did - COMIC BOOKS! Superman pow zap and kerplunking his way through enemies. And now video games. It's stupid. I'll concede that some individuals who have difficulty distinguishing between reality and virtual worlds have offended (or at least claim to have offended due to that) but as far as I know (and please correct me) there are no conclusive studies that show that video games have any impact whatsoever
Supreme Court has been our loyal caring friend to Congress's drunken stupidity.
Is Scalia that creepy uncle that constantly talks about how immoral kids today are but totally wants to sneak into your bedroom?
This thread is all about potential mass murderers being all defensive about vidya games.
"Disregard the shooter's dark past and mental health, IT'S THE VIDYAGAMS"
It wouldnt be so bad if these people actully knew anything about what they are trying to blame. I remember all these shit-heads spamming the mass effect 3 page/fanpages on facebook after some news channel blamed it for sandy hook. "U SHOLD BE SHAMED JUST KEEP SELLIN UR EVIL MURDER SIMULATER AND WE WILL KEEP MOURNING KILLED CHILDREN HAVE FUN IN HELL" of all the games to blame for a child killer, they pick one where the protagonist is haunted throughout the entire story by the death of one kid he couldnt save.
You know what fuck sandy hook Fuck it. It couldn't have been prevented. The guy planned it for fucking YEARS. I shall spell this out in a way somebody as stupid as this guy can understand: STOP. USING. IT. TO ADVANCE. YOUR FUCKING. POLITICAL. AGENDA.
This is what I have been saying since this happened. Our politicians here in CT did the same thing. Now we have the toughest gun laws in the country, passed on the graves of children.
Hell, I think the most damning evidence against her point is that if you look at the amount of people who play video games and how many crimes. Call of Duty has sold millions of copies. There are less than 20,000 deaths a year in the United States caused by Murder. There are like 1.8 million injuries from assault. One of the call of duty games sold almost 5 million copies or more... Why aren't there 5 million injuries? 5 million deaths? 5 million school shootings? With violent video games increasing in popularity shouldn't we see an insane increase in violent attacks? Oh wait, WE ARE SEEING A DECREASE IN VIOLENCE. FUCK YOU POLITICAL BULL SHITTERS! http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm
National Rifle Association CEO and executive vice president Wayne LaPierre was also quick to blame violent video games for the events at the Sandy Hook, after it was found that shooter Adam Lanza may have played video games like "Call of Duty" and "Starcraft."
New news story should put this in the failed jokes list. I'm pretty sure horrible shootings happened even before first person shooters came to existence. [editline]6th April 2013[/editline]
"Disregard the shooter's dark past and mental health, IT'S THE VIDYAGAMS"
[sp]Old[/sp]people who've never played video games in their life don't understand.
Of course we need to ban guns in games, you can't have violence without guns, guns cause all the problems, we need more games like this: Look, no guns!
Counter Strike made me fight Terrorism and DarkRP.. well that corrupted my soul..
The thing is, guns in games will ALWAYS exist. No matter what. I can imagine a dystopian future where Black Market copies of Doom get handed out en masse to any Maffia member
The article says it pretty well on it's own at the bottom
Nearly 30 years of studies have shown that there is scant evidence to support the claim that violent video games influence real-life violence, dating back to the first major violent video game study in 1984. Critics argue such attempts to correlate the two are little more than scapegoating video games in order to avoid getting to the root of gun violence.
