Poll: 42% Of Trump Voters Support Assaulting Journalists

Violence begets violence, trump is the president who should be held to higher standard than some random asshole.
Honestly there are so many reasons why trump being so casual with violence is bad, you'd have to be dense to not see one of them.
What, thats not semantics lol. Theres a massive difference between the press and political agitators. What are you on.
Do you even know what "political agitator" means?
What, thats not semantics lol. Theres a massive difference between the press and political agitators. What are you on.
Protestors. Protestors is the word you're looking for.
trump is the president who should be held to higher standard than some random asshole.
It's okay, the President is new at this and he doesn't know that encouraging violence is bad, or that he should strive to set a good example for the country as its leader. :hammered:

If you can't extrapolate the similarities between calling for violence against protesters and calling for violence against media that isn't licking Trump's boots, then you're just actively trying not to listen.
Hey I think the press is shit, but I wouldn't tell people to punch them.
yeah, you're a lost cause now
a government official should not be calling for vigilante justice.

you are no different that that guy who shot the republicans in that baseball game.
you disgust me
Hahahahaha
Assassinations and self defense are in the same boat now. Holy shit that's genuinely hilarious that you think that.

Can you provide a source for him calling for violence against media?

I just opened up about 6 sources but realised you would call all of them biased media.
No, Trump has never directly told anyone to hit a journalist. But are you so blind as to not realise that Trump's constant railing against mainstream media sources, along with his encouragement of violence towards those that oppose his views doesn't encourage his supporters to support violence against the media? As I said before, are you actually willing to deny outright that Trump's behaviour towards the media has encouraged violence?

I don't even know why I'm bothering posting these. No source will work. I could bring up his complete failure to condemn Gianforte for assaulting a Guardian journalist. That won't work, though either. Nothing anyone says will ever work with you - so why put up the pretense that you can be convinced by sources?
Not a shred of evidence will ever work, because it doesn't matter, you'll dismiss it immediately. What's the point of even bothering with you?
I think having a shred of personal integrity really needs to be a requirement for posting in polidicks because this is getting absurd.
This is the same deal that happened during the hearing with Sessions a few days ago; as long as you don't outright and pedantically say in direct words "do such and such", it's just an excuse to enable other people to play coy and defend you. "Sure, he heavily insinuated something, but he never outright said to do such and such! Checkmate liberals!"

It's a complete indictment of America's education system. A complete lack of ability to extrapolate any sort of situation unless it's directly stated, and there's no such thing as something encouraged, but left unspoken. Nothing nuanced, nothing analysed.

To be fair, I'd say it's less of an education issue and more of a combination of legal technicalities and cognitive dissonance. People obviously know the connection is likely there, but it's a "get out of jail free" card by means of obstinate technicalities and intellectual dishonesty.

Potentially, sure. But trolling or no, what a fucking miserable way to be.

Yes, I'm willing to retract my comment about your education system, that was rude - you're probably right

Oh, make no mistake - our education system is definitely flawed and my post was not phrased as taking offense at your comment. I was just elaborating on what I meant.
As an American, the education system is garbage though.
Huh, according to their poll Hispanic Trump supporters make up the bulk of support for bodyslamming. Guess he attracted all the luchadores.
Against agitators that assault them at rallies? What's wrong with advocating self defense?
It's like you're just ignoring the actual context of the poll itself because it goes against your precious little world-view that Daddy Trump is your god and savior.
I would slap you in the face to make you get your senses back but all that would do is just make you rant about leftist violence and preach even harder the retarded rhetoric of Trump.

How can you say "but realised you would call all of them biased media." then proceed to use a fucking mediamatters blog post. Thenation is an opinion piece and fortune spins incidents like the Corey "attack" on a journalist that pushed her way past people, a CBS reporter in the midst of a borderline riot being arrested by Chicago police, and the Secret Service enforcing restricted areas. None of that has to do with his rhetoric. None of that is violence against the media spurred by Trump.
So yes, when you post dogshit sources, no source will work.

I wonder why you go after low hanging fruit instead of refuting arguments made by several other people that clearly call you out on your bullshit.

Every source you dismiss further proves my point really
Assassinations and self defense are in the same boat now.
I think you are pushing the bounds of what counts as acceptable "self defense". Self defense does not mean actively seeking to "knock the fuck" out of someone outside of severe, borderline life-or-death cases.
It's possible to apply enough "self defense" to de-escalate or remove yourself from a situation without "knocking the fuck" out of someone, especially for something as trivial as throwing a tomato. That just sounds like a lust for vigilante justice, in which case I don't know why you are putting up these pretenses of wanting to go by technicalities when you indulge in a lust for vigilantism if it suits you.
If you are going to go by pedantic technicalities in cases like this...
How can you say "but realised you would call all of them biased media." then proceed to use a fucking mediamatters blog post. ...but then otherwise ignore logical technicalities and indulge yourself in a lust for skirting outside the rules and "knocking the fuck out of someone [for throwing a tomato]" when it suits your ideal fantasies, then your arguments come off as dishonest at best.
