Bad Company 2 is terrible. Even on low settings it lags, and I have a computer that runs other games VERY well. Not to mention how easy it is to spawn rape the attackers. It's got a lot more overpowered guns than Call of Duty. Let's not forget how annoying the snipers are, and how impossible it is to kill them when they are so far away most of the time.
Just because it has bigger maps, vehicles, and longer rounds doesn't mean it's automatically better.

I can play it on high with some 30 FPS. But yes, it is resource demanding, but just lower the settings for the special effects and you are good to go.
And spawn rape never happens in COD... Ahahaha.
90% of the snipers can't snipe for shit, and you can kill them with a normal gun as long as you spot them, you just suck at it.

Spawn rape never was a problem for me because if there are enemies in a spawn, the spawns switch. However, Bad Company 2, it happens most of the time on Rush because of how easy it is. Especially on maps where you parachute down. People constantly shoot down people in parachutes. And the snipers are always camping in some practically invisible place that not even the killcam is helpful in finding, this mostly happens in maps like Laguna Presa. Oh, and did I forget to mention how unfair it is to have some stupid engineer come out of a tank and heal it every fives seconds?

Look, I was a huge fan of the series up until MW2. Call of Duty 4 was one of my favorite multiplayer shooters for a while, as it brought some great ideas to the series in a pretty well balanced way. Then MW2 came out, and it was clear that they were only trying to appeal to the 12-14 year old console players. There were a ton of overpowered and underpowered weapons, some rediculous new equipment, and severely unbalanced killstreaks. That and they completely fucked the PC community over by giving them what was essentially (but not technically) a shoddy port. In short, they no longer cared about what made the series great in the first place.
I'll agree that there is a bandwagon surrounding the hatred of the series, but the bandwagon doesn't exist for no reason.

I've never experienced one single sniper that has been hidden in such a good way.

The Call of Duty series doesn't entirely suck because of MW2. Black Ops was great.
