hi guess what guns are made specifically to kill things all of those things aren't
hey guess what you're wrong
I'm not sure if any of you read the article.
2 It requires ammunition buyers who are not licensed dealers to present photo identification at the time of purchase, effectively banning the online or mail order purchase of ammo by regular civilians.
Doesn't this present a problem for thousands of people who have no nearby ammo salesman?
Fuck these guys. Seriously, fuck these guys. This is so dumb that i don't know what the write.
hi guess what guns are made specifically to kill things all of those things aren't
Improvisation. Those could be used as blunt force weapons.
Rather irrelevant. If there weren't guns, there would be knives used. The reason people use guns most of the time for killing is because well, they're everywhere and they're pretty effective at it.
Or the items that I listed that could be used as a blunt force weapon. That's the point I'm trying to get across. If some nutcase decides to use a blunt force weapon, the government will be all "ban <whatever item used as a BF weapon>s!" and it'll keep going in a vicious cycle until someone in the government smartens up.
3 It requires licensed ammunition dealers to maintain records of the sale of ammunition. 4 It requires licensed ammunition dealers to report the sale of more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition to an unlicensed person within any five consecutive business days.
I don't really see the problem with these two things.
nothing to do with the dark knight, preparations for the revolution
I'm not sure if any of you read the article. And that's 100000 times more important. [editline]30th July 2012[/editline]
I don't really see the problem with these two things.
It's unnecessary and pointless. All it will achieve is more paperwork issues.
I have no problem with 1, 3, and 4 and I'm actually surprised that those measures weren't already in place. [editline]30th July 2012[/editline] But wait one second here, why do they want to keep records of ammo sales and records of who is buying large quantities of ammo? What are they going to do with this information? Is the information to be collected by the government or just kept by the salesman?
Yeah, but Congress & Obama want to feel as if they "helped" the Aurora shooting. And that's 100000 times more important. [editline]30th July 2012[/editline] It's unnecessary and pointless. All it will achieve is more paperwork issues.
Correction, they want to appear as if they helped the Aurora shooting. They personally probably don't care, but the masses want blood, so what do they do to try and get better ratings? They make it look like they're working to prevent another massacre.

They're going to piss off a lot more than generic brand Republicans with this.
hi guess what guns are made specifically to kill things all of those things aren't
You're so wrong it's not even funny.

Blunt force all the way.
Except there are occasions when buying rounds in the low thousands makes complete sense. Ammunition goes on sale and is often sold in bulk.
Mosin Nagant ammo, 440 rounds for $70! ;D
Ok, see how many people you can stab/bludgeon in a movie theater and compare that to how many people were killed/injured in Aurora. I bet you don't even come close.
He could have done TONS more damage if he had made a bomb out of some easily available household cleaners. You can easily make a bomb and toss it into that theater and kill everyone in it. Does that mean you should ban these household cleaners? They're much more readily available and cheaper than firearms.
Ok, see how many people you can stab/bludgeon in a movie theater and compare that to how many people were killed/injured in Aurora. I bet you don't even come close.
Still waiting to hear what lovely hobbies you have.

I bet you don't even come close.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osaka_school_massacre Not a movie theater, but that wasn't even a knife designed for killing people.
I'm not sure if any of you read the article. Doesn't this present a problem for thousands of people who have no nearby ammo salesman?
More importantly, we've been told that being required to show ID disenfranchises citizens and is racist.
More importantly, we've been informed that being required to show ID disenfranchises citizens and is racist.
For once, I agree with you.
One of the largest mass murders in the US was done with a dollar's worth of gasoline and a plastic container. A disgruntled refugee got dumped and decided to burn his girlfriend's workplace, killing 87 people. Look up the Happy Land fire. The point is that a resourceful person will always find a way to commit mass murder. We shouldn't be letting deranged killers curtail our civil liberties.
Wow, what a pointless pain in the ass.
#1 and #3 make complete and total sense. #2 Also makes sense, but at the same time, in this digital age, it's also limiting. Although some delivery companies do have age restriction and required ID for receiving stuff options, so that could be a possibility. #4, I can see the logic in it, but for people who shoot recreationally, I can see 1,000 not being all that much. Overall, I'd say I'm fairly neutral on the issues of guns and ammunition, but some of the things do make sense.
yeah because you can bludgeon a large number of people just as easily as firing a machine gun.
Oh, you mean those things that have been illegal for over 30 years?

Making the purchase of 1,000 rounds of ammo or more is totally irrelevant. The shooter in the theater fired, at the most, 123 rounds of ammunition. 100 rounds from his AR-15 (assuming it would have jammed on the last round of the mag), 8 rounds from the shotgun and 15 rounds from his Glock pistol. Yeah, he had a bunch more ammo with him, but he never used it. He just sat next to his car and surrendered when the cops arrived.
Whatever happened to the "pro-gun" stance of the Obama administration? Seems like a total charade to me.
In theory: All of a sudden, a knife massacre occurs! Better ban knives! Then a hammer massacre occurs! Ban hammers too! Finally, a frying pan massacre occurs! We obviously have to ban frying pans too! Get where I'm going? Won't work.
Thats basically what happened here in England... :v:
Whatever happened to the "pro-gun" stance of the Obama administration? Seems like a total charade to me.
What are you talking about?
Whatever happened to the "pro-gun" stance of the Obama administration? Seems like a total charade to me.
They acted gun neutral at best. But all political stances are just pandering to the voter.
