Pretty disappointing when you read the article and its nothing but a camera that detects your eye position, and an electromagnetic censor on your head that can be used to click. Still cool for the disabled tho.
OCZ Nia is better for actual brain stuff, this just uses the term brainwriter as a buzzword
OCZ Nia is better for actual brain stuff, this just uses the term brainwriter as a buzzword
I own an OCZ Nia and frankly its terrible. I spent weeks trying to train neural nets to play videogames with it, and in the end it was still essentially random Its good for detecting muscle tension in your face, as well as glancing left or right, but anything beyond that is utterly useless (ie brainwaves).
Lots of people? Uhm no you're delusional if you think that, only a very very very tiny number of people make it to 100, let alone past it. Stop being an idiot Maverick, this is a very clearly documented fact: http://www.unfpa.org/webdav/site/global/shared/documents/publications/2012/UNFPA-Report-Chapter1.pdf People age 100+ don't even make up 0.1% of the world's population.
316,600 is a large number.
This is how you will control games of the future through VR technology.
Lots of people? That's some news to me. Yeah and their mental abilities no different than in their twenties, right? People slowly lose brain-cells whole life and the rate increases past 50 years mark, that's why old people don't get better. Those who use their brain actively tho lose them slower, but still, brain doesn't last forever. Far from it.
regardless, people who DO make it past 100 aren't always retarded and thus the MAXIMUM brain life span is not 100.
This is how you will control games of the future through VR technology.
and google glass
He really should be the first in line for any kind of brain/robot body transfer shit.
Well, maybe the 9th or 10th. We wouldn't want him to be the guinea pig.
So have VR headsets. There's a lot of differences between the first unwieldly prototypes and the consumer version even if the concept stays the same.
to put into perspective what you have said [t]http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/05/googleglass-prototyping.jpg[/t] prototypes are shitty, clunky and horrible devices compared to the "Last and Final product" imagine how shitty the brainwriter would look as a 2003 prototype
When this becomes a popular device in Australia, you'll be arrested for thinking about the word "cunt".
Whaaat? You do realise that Australia is the place where you call your friends 'cunt' and people you don't know 'mate', right? Cunt is one of the most endearing words you can utter in this land!
This is how you will control games of the future through VR technology.
And when the time comes that people can use all chat via brain writing, it will become a never ending stream of powerful swearing and insults to every nationality, race and creed there is on planet earth.
