Wait, you aren't even an American? lmao
He still has more of a clue of what's going on in this country than you buddy, by fucking leaps, bounds and miles. Also quit fucking reducing his posts and then forgetting the points he brings up.
You should vote based on policy, not on appearance. You should vote based on voting record, not based on toughness. You should vote based on who represents your political interests, not who you find more physically appealing. You should vote based on who will serve your social and economic interests, not someone who is entertaining to watch.
Uh, no. BOTH factor heavily. Policies alone won't get you anywhere with congress and the public, and especially other countries. Look at Obama, it's fairly known that he has been a "weak" president, while Putin has been regarded as "strong", regardless of policies. I'm not vouching for Trump, but what I wish we would see is Mitt Romney pulled from the political graveyard. He doesn't seem so bad now, does he? I mean, he even predicted Russia's geopolital expansion and got LAUGHED at for saying it. Conservative social issues aside (which he could be pretty moderate about it if the party did pull his strings) he would be a pretty strong president. At LEAST compared to the candidates we have now.
Wait, you aren't even an American? lmao All of those issues are primarily caused by corruption and incompetence. They do not exist for a lack of caring or effort in the part of the American people, but rather a mismanagement of their efforts and good will. A Trump presidency will, based on the personality and leadership patterns he's followed over the course of his life, solve these problems, by aggressively perusing the corrupt and the stupid, and removing them from the government. I clean up suicides and unattended deaths for a living. When a house smells like Decomp, you don't spray something to make it smell better. You remove the biohazard, and then clean. Once you remove the source of the problem, the corrupt and stupid, then the symptoms of the problem, homelessness through black americans, will naturally dissipate.
i have family in america. i have friends who are american. i can read. you think we don't have fascist types over here? my country is even more obsessed with immigration, and it's used by our politicians to attack each other too. but anyway, we're talking about trump so: who are the corrupt and stupid causing these issues and what is trump going to do to remove them. is trump going to overturn citizens united to stop corporations buying the government? is trump going to overhaul the prison system to stop the exploitation of minorities, and the poor for non-violent crimes? how so? who is he going to remove for this? how is trump going to solve income inequality? is he going to beat up the Walton family? what about tax? is he going to beat up the people who are evading the majority of the tax they should be paying or does that not count as corrupt and stupid. you now have 4 words you use: tough, great, stupid, corrupt yet you've offered no definition of any of them. [editline]10th February 2016[/editline] seriously, in terms of intelligence sharing/national interests the US & UK may as well be one thing. there's is a huge crossover with the elites in both countries.
"who cares if I live under a fascist!" - Someone who doesn't even know what the political buzzwords he tosses around mean
More like Trump fuels teenage boy's man power fantasies in all probability. I can't imagine why else someone would support Trump here on FP (basing on the fact that an overwhelming majority of the site's users are teenagers and it's statistically likely SaltyWaters is as well). [editline]10th February 2016[/editline] Really missing the :wtc: emote
Wait, I'm arguing with highschoolers? Shit, no wonder you're all talking this way. Also, no wonder you all support sanders. Guess the meme was true. (User was banned for this post ("Threadshitting" - Craptasket))
Yeah sure, our economy is the (second) largest on Earth but that doesn't mean shit when most of that wealth belongs to a very tiny fraction of the population, we've got millions in poverty, the middle class is dying out, and the average person's income is either stagnant or decreasing. We aren't even remotely close to being third-world, but we've got a lot of places that should not exist in their current states in such a developed country as ours.
I know that, and that is why I hope Bernie gets elected for you all. I just meant to say that the U.S. is very, very far from being a third world country.

I can only support those who's priorities line up with what I consider important. Trump has made it a central point in his campaign to bring up incompetence and corruption. Sanders may be concerned about it, but that isn't one of the central pillars of why he wants to be president. I've said many times that the biggest problem in America is corruption and incompetence. It should come as no surprise that I am a strong Trump supporter, because he is in line with my deepest concern.
Wait, I'm arguing with highschoolers? Shit, no wonder you're all talking this way. Also, no wonder you all support sanders. Guess the meme was true.
yeah we support sanders because of blind teenage lust, obviously not like everyone here has been saying "what about his policies, tell us his policies, policies, policies." I'm 20 and I support Sanders not at all because my friends do but because I agree with his policies, like the vast majority of young liberal voters. Hell, I totally disagree with Sanders on Israel but I still support him wholeheartedly because he's the closest to my own interests. All you've said about Trump is he's tough - not a single word on his political platform or his plans for governing an entire country. Just character traits. Not plans. The central tenet of his platform is that we need campaign finance reform. That's was his first major talking point and it continues to be his main point. The backbone of his entire platform is that we need to reform campaign finance and reverse income inequality. He has said, time and time again, that money needs to get out of politics. How is that not anti-corruption? It's the first talking point he made in his campaign.
Wait, I'm arguing with highschoolers? Shit, no wonder you're all talking this way. Also, no wonder you all support sanders.
Wait, I'm arguing with highschoolers? Shit, no wonder you're all talking this way. Also, no wonder you all support sanders. Guess the meme was true.
I personally graduated in 2008, making me an outlier, and I am most definitely not a Sanders supporter. But I do not disqualify him based on looks and 'tough guy' mentality but on his policies and political beliefs which at least I actually know of. And if you actually are an adult and actually literally said you don't care if he's "a fascist or a nazi", then these highschoolers in this conversation literally know more about this topic than a grown man.
If looking tough is all that matters, the president should be The Mountain from GOT. That's a pretty tough guy. If tough is all that matters, Trump is a baby compared to the real world of so called "tough men". God damn this is just such a ridiculous idea that being "tough" is a world leader quality. Fuck conviction, we need toughness. Not.

(Bonus points if they run home crying to mom) Which ironically would make Hillary the 'toughest" candidate between either parties because it's the only way she's capable of communicating.
So far, the government Sanders has been a part of has succeeded in making us the stupidest, most hated nation on the planet. Whatever magic you think he has, he's clearly not got enough of to fix things. If he couldn't do anything with a little power, what makes you think he can do anything with a lot of power?
Dude, you don't sound like you know much about the structure of American politics. A single Senator has next to no actual power, to exercise that power and get progressive bills passed, you have to be an excellent negotiator and a very active senator. Bernie is precisely that. Worst of all, to act like one independent senator with unconventional (for the US) politics is partly to blame in America's poor reputation, you must have no idea what you're talking about. The US' awful reputation is down to failed interventionalism, and the worst public services (education, healthcare) in the developed world, both of which Trump would make worse (through shrinking government spending, and by advocating more attacks on the middle east) and Bernie would improve - his approach to ISIS is to work diplomatically to develop and support an arab coalition against ISIS, thus not feeding IS' narrative of 'muslims vs the west,' and also he supports curbing tax avoidance and making taxes far more progressive and spending that on vastly improving healthcare and education. On the world stage, Trump is seen as an absolute joke, by the way. He's not going to do shit to restore the US' reputation.
Then the whole country's crazy and you're one of the few sane people left, because last time I checked, Trump is going to be the next president.
Based on what sorry? He's really quite unpopular with most of America.
I want him because he is entirely committed to his platform of making america great again. Who cares if he's a fascist or a nazi, or a loud mouth? I don't want to live in a third world nation just because we're scared to get called mean names.
Okay I don't think you're legit any more. If this is genuinely your attitude, you're a lost cause. The sad thing is, this is the attitude of most Trump supporters. They don't care how the system works, and they don't care what people's policies are, they just want to hear their apathy and their anger reduced into sound bites, no matter how embarrassingly incompetent he is.
