Damn I was hoping for a Battlefield movie. Could be sweet if it was written properly.
According to his IMDB page, Shapiro has not had another screenplay make it to theaters since 'Battlefield.' His other main credit is 'Robin Hood: Men In Tights.'
Maybe he'll have some luck now.
"It wasn't as I intended -- promise. No one sets out to make a train wreck. Actually, comparing it to a train wreck isn't really fair to train wrecks, because people actually want to watch those."
Hahahaha. Never watched the movie, but I saw the Nostalgia Critic's review.
huh, what the hell are you posting
It's only a movie, people don't seem to know some details so I'm correcting them
These are details that are never explained in the movie, at least to my memory, where did you get this info?
The plot of the movie was nothing like the book
There is a book? Was it based of the movie or was the movie supposed to be based off the book?
Just shows nothing good will come from scientology.

Of course, they should have exploded a long time ago, with all the cosmic radiation bombarding the atmosphere of the planet.
Although that has to do with Hubbard being allergic to research.
i love imdb:

Factual errors: The AV-8B Harrier is incapable of performing many of the maneuvers shown in the film.

Plot holes: Jet fuel has a shelf life of about four years. A fully-fueled jet found after 1,000 years wouldn't even be able to start, much less take off and fly.
I'll raise you one.
-Those books in the library, the ones all over the floor? Would have turned to dust after about a century, due to the relatively short shelf-life of the acid-treated paper they're made of.
-Most of the building would have long since collapsed and turned to dust, either from chemical erosion on concrete supports or through rusting of the steel supports.
-The firearms the humans were using? the gunpowder would have become inert after a few years, and the weapons themselve would have turned into rusted chunks of metal.
I could go on, I hated that movie with a passion.

The book was published in 1982, and the movie is very loosely based on the book.
this guys got balls saying the movie he made is horrible
Nostalgia Critic Review was enough to know it sucked.
I didn't know he wrote Men in Tights too. I actually really liked that movie.

I actually re-watched the movie, in short instances they explain those things. Scene transitions were annoying part of the movie, then all the flaws that followed later in the movie with the planes, fuel, Fort Knox in supply of electricity, etc. I seen worse movies but this had flaws one after another.
