Melee just beat it mechanics-wise fair and square, when I first played Brawl I felt it was overall 'slower' than Melee. I really enjoyed the Subspace Emmisary though. At least, that's the one I ended up playing the most.

I liked Melee a lot better than Brawl. I don't give a flying fuck if Brawl was meant to be less competitive, it was also less fun. I liked the extremely fast paced fights I had with my friends, we all got really good at the game and it was fun as fuck to have intense fair fights with each other. Brawl felt way too slow, and random tripping is just annoying. Either way though... Unless they make a revised gaming controller for the WiiU, or changes their mind on not supporting Gamecube controllers... I'm not getting it, and I'm probably not getting the WiiU either. Not being able to play Smash with a controller like the Gamecube controller = Not interested

Tourneyfags or whatever right? (might be biased or some 4chan bullshit) That sounds like it makes the game stupid as fuck really. I sort of hate competitive gaming because of stupid restrictions people impose.

A friend of mine and his brother, all they play in brawl is Fast mode, I don't know how the hell they do it. They've played fast mode so much, regular speed is too slow for them.

Why does everyone think Brawl was slower? Are you saying they lowered the speed of every character in the game? I think it's more likely they made a change to the character you played and you weren't into it, because there's still some really fast characters. Sonic can be annoying as shit. I dont know about Fox anymore though maybe they slowed him down since Melee. I'm liking the sound of this though, I feel like the game's going to have a differently stylized approach with that development team.
