Holy shit, if this would happen to anyone in my family I will never get over this, the one day that person is just eating some chicken nuggets and the other day he/she is in a fucking wheelchair with brain damage because them.
I don't know why some of you are suggesting that they should have sued the company that supplied the chicken instead of KFC. If KFC prepared the food properly then salmonella poisoning wouldn't have been a possibility.
KFC is gross anyway.
This the only thing i like from fast food magazines is the french fries from McDonald's nothing beats them.Or comes as close to that salty epic taste.
Only ever been to KFC once and it sucked, everything's too greasy and completely tasteless, I get much nicer fried chicken in local deli.
It's not the suppliers fault, KFC should've cooked the chicken properly.
Salmonella can survive for weeks outside a living body. Salmonella are not destroyed by freezing. Ultraviolet radiation and heat accelerate their demise; they perish after being heated to 55 °C (131 °F) for 90 min, or to 60 °C (140 °F) for 12 min. To protect against Salmonella infection, it is recommended that food be heated for at least ten minutes at 75 °C (167 °F) so that the centre of the food reaches this temperature
Also, can't it be the case of bad food handling? Like if employee didn't wash the hands after handling raw chicken? Or do you need a lot bigger quantities of bacteria for that to matter?
Welcome to Australia, even our KFC will give you brain damage.
I love KFC in the US, but I was visiting family in Australia, and the KFC there made me feel sort of sick both times I ate there. Of course, I was going from the second richest county in the US to Alice Springs. I once ran out of potatoes, and it took me a minute to realize I was just drinking gravy right out of the container.
I feel like some Chunky's Chicken
I avoid KFC like a plague and get maccas, thought it's properly worse but decent, or get subway instead. Maybe Kebabs that I usually get down city are better.
My local KFC is amazing, never had any problems with it.
Fuck, imagine that happening to you. Your dinner one night completely changes your life. How insane.
You and your whole family get extremely sick while your wife is in hospital giving birth and then your daughter is severely brain damaged. yay.
It's because the family should have gone after the company that provided KFC the contaminated meat.
Not really, it is KFC's duty to provide the clean food and it is their responsibility.
Not really, it is KFC's duty to provide the clean food and it is their responsibility.
Yes, somewhere from 35-55% of all poultry have salmonella. Proper food preparation is the only way to make it safe.
Subway, eat fresh.
My friend works at subway and he says their vegetables and eggs come in cans.
KFC is gross anyway.
Take that back, it's fucking glorious and you know it, you're in denial, repent and be saved by Colonel Sanders or burn in hell.
