No, not at all. If there's one thing you can't say about Ron Paul, it's that he's dishonest. The bastard speaks what's on his mind and nothing can change that.
which is why you can find footage of him defending his racist newsletters and now he claims he didn't know about them?
and is also why he employs family members and pays them generous salaries while squeezing his supporters for contributions despite the fact that he has zero chance of winning?
Gold Standard would destroy our fucking economy, what are you on about? The vast majority of all economists in the world who've talked about Paul's 'gold-standard' say he's a fucking idiot and should be ashamed of himself for even conceiving of such a thing.
Wow... Um, ok, where to start.
A vast majority of economists in the world are keynesians and opposed to a backed currency on those grounds.
And Ron Paul didn't conceive the gold standard... I really hope you meant to say "suggest."
breaking: a vast majority of people prefer historical data analysis and math over pseudo-scientific austrian economics
I don't care whether you agree with Paul's views or not, the game looks fun.
I don't care whether you agree with Paul's views or not, the game looks fun.
i hope retsuprae does an LP of it because that would fucking own
i hope retsuprae does an LP of it because that would fucking own
I'd fucking pay to watch that.
breaking: a vast majority of people prefer historical data analysis and math over pseudo-scientific austrian economics
And the majority is always right?
Also, for every bit of historical data that supports keynesianism, theres another that leaves economists scrambling for another "special circumstance" or multiplier to explain why the great Keynes really wasn't a shortsighted tard..
LOL RON PAUL 2012 HE WILL CHANGE AMERICA DESTROY DEFICIT END ABORTION END GAS PRICES GO PAUL WOOOO.
the majority is right in the case of supporting a flawed but not awful theory of economics unlike supporters of austrian economics
pretty much every criticism you give of any other economic theory can be given to austrian economics tenfold
You do realize that currency is a stupid idea anyway, right? See: before the editline.
Also, how is classical economics not a philosophy?
You would seriously have us go back to using a basic bartering system like savages? You've said a lot of stupid things, but that just might take the golden cake.
I can't wait to get the Google Glasses. I wonder how many chickens and fox pelts it will cost.
Ron Paul, you say?
No thanks.
I'd rather have the safety of knowing that I can travel from one state to another and not have to deal with retarded social policy after crossing the boundary.
And I'd rather that church and state were separated.
And I'd rather that we didn't arbitrarily remove all US troops from their stations around the world and cause a massive influx of jobless individuals.
And I'd rather have a regulating body such as the federal reserve that regulates interest rates to prevent another depression.
And I'd rather live in a society where I have the security of knowing that if I'm injured on the job that I can get unemployment benefits, social security benefits, food stamps, and other such nice things to keep me from starving to death.
no he probably doesn't but the gold standard is only barely better anyways.
i sure can't wait for electronics to be either a lot more expensive or a lot less long lasting when we move onto the gold standard!

so what you're saying is you don't have faith in The Free Market????
which for some reason, for all the rationality Ron Paul claims it has, did not choose The Grand Doctor Paul

Nice job reading.
"It's the best we have."
As in a barter system doesn't inspire economic growth. Currency does.
Fix'd.
haha you are such a tool. Ron Paul is "in touch" with the roots of this country. that's really cute of you.

Again, pro. Just pro debating.
Ron Paul will never get elected because all his good ideas are countered by his shitty ones. He's like the living employment of a rider.
Again, pro. Just pro debating.
But this isn't Mass Debate. This is Sensationalist Headlines where we insult each other, laugh at each other and rate each other "Dumb".

Can't argue there :P
Yeah, I love it when shit gets expensive and my money gets devalued.
That isn't how inflation works. Generally wages rise with inflation as well. Also, the price of certain items has decreased relative to money supply.
Let's say a loaf of bread costs 1 dollar, and you are payed 1 dollar/hour.
Now next year a loaf of bread costs 2 dollars, but now you are payed 3 dollars/hour. The price of bread actually dropped. Your money is in fact more powerful because a single hour of work buys you 1.5 loaves of bread versus the 1 loaf before.
Some commodities(oil is a great example) have actually gone up in price. However, a lot of items have decreased in price due to new technology and infrastructure to deliver goods. You can gauge this by looking at how much a commodity has inflated in price vs how much wages have inflated over a certain period of time. If the wage inflation - the commodity inflation is a positive number, then your money is more powerful regarding that particular commodity. If wage inflation - commodity inflation is negative, then your money is less powerful.
You can't just generalize inflation as devaluation of money. Inflation itself doesn't devalue money.
Move to China. We have something called "freedom."
lmao i'm done. you're fucking ridiculous and this comment just seals the deal.
GO PAUL (anyway because he's more honest and in touch with the roots of his country than the other idiots)
Pfffrbbt. If by that you mean all of his beliefs are moribund crap outta the 19th century (die-hard State's rights, strict constructional-ism, gold standard) then yeah he's in touch with our roots. And also, for the "more honest" claim, I'm gonna go ahead and reiterate this:
ATTENTION ALL RON PAUL SUPPORTERS
RON PAUL IS LYING ABOUT AND/OR HEAVILY DOWNPLAYING HIS KNOWLEDGE OF THE RACIST CONTENT OF THE NEWSLETTERS PUBLISHED DIRECTLY UNDER HIS NAME
IN 1996 HE DID NOT DENY WRITING THE NEWSLETTERS AND SEEMED PERFECTLY KNOWING OF THEIR RACIST CONTENTS
HE ONLY BEGAN DENYING KNOWLEDGE OR AUTHORSHIP ONCE HE WAS RUNNING FOR POSITIONS ON THE NATIONAL SCALE
I hope I get to be racist and not enforce a separation of church and state!
I can't tell if this game is a joke or a legitimate stunt by Ron Paul cultists. It's so hard to tell with the near fanatical dedication people have to this idiot.
I wonder if there's an amazing DLC you can buy.
haha you are such a tool. Ron Paul is "in touch" with the roots of this country. that's really cute of you.
Well he claims to be a strict constructionist, and he's old enough to have served in the Confederate Army so I guess you could say he's "in touch with the roots of the country" in a way.
I saw Ron Paul speak yesterday at a rally. I agreed with pretty much everything he said.
well if he was talking about politics then i'm sorry for your loss (your brain)
Where at? I'm going to see him this Sunday in Philly
You two should meet up and discuss libertarian policy. Free your markets and take the hand of the free market to stimulate the economy. Until the market bursts.
well if he was talking about politics then i'm sorry for your loss (your brain)
Still better than the brain rot watching Obama or Romney causes.
Still better than the brain rot watching Obama or Romney causes.
you're hilarious comparing obama to romney i mean sure he's flawed just like anyone but compared to every republican candidate he's a sparkling diamond unscathed in a sea of shit.
I'm disappointed. I thought this was going to be where you play as Ron Paul and must defend your gold stashes from Jews and blacks. One of the powerups would let you summon jackass college libertarians to your side.
