Literally the first arguments people give when you have game performance issues is "maybe your machine can't handle it". TB makes it a point to make it clear that his machine is top-of-the-line and the problem shouldn't be on his side. Maybe TB isn't your thing, but don't dismiss his importance because he gives a valuable service to PC gamers that are worried about PC performance/features of a specific game.
The curator system is a bit disappointing, I already stumbled upon a thing which just made a bunch of reviews all with only the word "Placeholder." in it only so that their curation group would show up first on the store page before anyone else gets to make it properly.
I kinda wish they would let me chance the color scene or something

I love how I can tell Steam not to show me games that aren't done yet (=preorders/Early-Access). The recommendation engine isn't too bad either. I like it.
This curator system isn't very well thought out. I fully expect it to go the way of greenlight.
I like the new update, being able to filter out early access is great, but I hate that the featured list now includes recommended games. None of the games recommended for me are games I want to play, just because I play RPGs doesn't mean I want every free to play MOBA cluttering the front page.

I don't think it will. The stakes for the curator system are much lower than they were with Greenlight.

Considering EA's practices with their games they don't exactly serve a better client because a lot of their games aren't worth it
the client is... alright. but it isn't really all that better, and pretty much featureless in comparison.
Downloaded origin and its 107,888k and steam is at 43,336k, both in the background doing nothing. (ram)
it's lighter in features yet takes more memory up, in fact, more than twice as much
I looked it up and it can take up to 100mb to 166 mb. And people call STEAM resource hogging? We'd be fucked if they started adding tons of stuff.

You do know steam has multiple processes running at once, right? Right now I have Origin using up 81,800K, while steam uses up 65,452K (bootstrapper), 9,780K (webhelper), 67,724K (webhelper), for a total of 142,956K used doing nothing.
Steam is way worse of a resource hog than Origin.

It takes 50 megs of ram at the most, I have NEVER seen it lag after ye olden days when it was introduced.

I think blue isn't very universal. It doesn't fit with the game pictures and stuff. Black/Grey did a much better job.
Apart from that, neat.
Funny enough for me it's not too much of a bother either way. I'm using Air though, so that might have something to do with it.

Because SteamOS and Steam Big-Picture are blue and Valve wants to standardize their looks and make them look similiar. You were able to foresee this change for months.

His issue is less letting it sink in and more about the fact it's changing at all. I mean, personally i'm fine with it granted i'm used to the black background but i can understand if he doesn't like how they're trying to change it at all

I follow broteam because I know he will recommend the shittiest games and I love it.
I wish I could filter recommendations too. Like don't recommend me games that aren't even released yet, are already on my wishlist, don't have good reviews, etc.
