sometimes women just dont show outward signs of growth from pregnancy, this happened with my brother's ex-girlfriend's cousin was told she was 3 months pregnant, went into labor a few hours later and had a healthy baby

On top of that, with intense physical labour mentruation cycles can get a wee bit weird. So she might just not have noticed them very well. Remember there being a case of a manager who gave birth on the way to a board meeting, having no clue she was actually pregnant.
