Buy Taco Bell stock, now
Generally fastfood company stocks.
Except shit like Sunset Boulevard, fuck that noise
Meanwhile in California, the MJ laws are going backwards.
Legalizing weed is better than striking oil. If only more states knew about this.
I don't think legalizing weed will turn Colorado into an economic miracle.
It's just another consumer good like beer, tobacco, condoms or bread.
And that is the story of how Colorado became the wealthiest state in the nation.
And the one with the highest assault weapon shooting spree aids death toll!!!
As someone who lives in Colorado; I hate weed and would never smoke it, but I think that legalizing it and taxing it is a very good thing.

it will ease law enforcement costs while providing extra tax revenue. that's certainly a good thing.

Well it is, but it's not like it's going to have a massive impact.
Remember this drug is not used by many people (especially due to stigma and law until recently) and that it's only one of many targeted by the feds.

But now the money, at least in CO and WA, isn't funding criminal organizations.

What?
But now the money, at least in CO and WA, isn't funding criminal organizations.
Yeah they can still sell coke tho.
What?
buy marijuana in a black market and the money often goes towards cartels or gangs who distribute the marijuana. make the drug legal and the gangs aren't making money from it anymore.

solution? legalize coke.
More reason for me to move to the gorgeous state Colorado.

This could work if done properly.
Still need to make sure they don't do racketeering or that sort of silliness tho.

without drug profits organized crime would be greatly reduced. it would still exist, but it would definitely take the wind out of it.
our referendum made it so it is impossible for us to have any marijuana sales before something like november 12.
it wouldn't be hard to beat us, no offence.
Seattle already has a vape lounge and dab bar though?

Well, before it was legal in Washington I still got everything from a dispensary. A lot of people actually got there stuff from dealers who were supplied locally as well.
Come on Canada keep up ;(

They already did that, silly!
They already did that, silly!
Yeah I forgot banks are legal now.
Maybe by legalizing, total cost can drop, i think the main reason why weed runs in the $100-$200 an ounce for cheap stuff is because of risk, and nobody is gonna part with something for chump change if they just risked prison time for getting it.

Trust me, plenty of people indulge in this drug, you just don't know many people or live sheltered.

I know how to get it, and know that many people do use it (and I have used it). But it's not as commonplace as beer or wine.

I have a friend out in CO who moved there with his family last year, he claimed good shit is around $150/oz from whoever he gets it from.
I've never paid less than 265 for an oz, usually 280-300. Good times ahead for stoners.

Man! $100 for an ounce is soooo cheap, unless it isn't very good.

That makes more sense, but to say not many use it is an understatement.

really now? how does that work? selling "recreational marijuana" is strictly illegal until the liquor board releases their policy regarding manufacture and retail of it. would that lounge cater to people with medical cards?
Well, before it was legal in Washington I still got everything from a dispensary. A lot of people actually got there stuff from dealers who were supplied locally as well.
that's anecdotal and pretty much illustrates that the issue is more complex than i explicitly stated. it depends where you live and what connections you have. cartels and gangs still make big money off marijuana even in states with dispensaries. not everyone has the fortune of having a medical card or buying from a dealer with a medical card. a lot of people still need to get their drugs from street dealers who get their product from either closet growers or from criminal organizations(though they aren't mutually exclusive to each other).

I think CO is doing it right now where you bring your own cannabis to the pot clubs and they make money from selling refreshments, entrance fees, whatever. But if WA is being anal then it's probably for patients only right now.
