Some Make-a-Wish kid?
jesse eisenberg as lex luthor
jesse eisenberg as lex luthor
not even a wish from a dying child could make that a good pick for a greedy sociopath of a villain like lex luthor. id rather have kevin spacey play him again.
Yeah, and it all sucks.
then dont watch movies
I'm only interested in this if it ends up being a movie version of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. Though, why the fuck Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor? Is that some kind of jab at Facebook? Because that's the only way that choice would make sense, and even still it's a bad choice. Mark Strong would have made the perfect Lex Luthor. He's got the right face for it, he's an amazing actor, and most of all he doesn't look like a 20 year old infant when you shave his head.
I like the logo.
I don't. The bat looks fat. 3/10
I don't. The bat looks fat. 3/10
Dat bat.
they are making generic comedies by the thousands generic action movies vy the thousands generic horror movies by the thousands generic love films by the thousands. whats the point
yeah but superhero movies make such a humongous amount of money they drive the further homogenization of the industry
Why the fuck is batman's name first when it's supposed to be a sequel to Superman's own fucking movie? And Batman's logo is bigger as well...
Why the fuck is batman's name first when it's supposed to be a sequel to Superman's own fucking movie? And Batman's logo is bigger as well...
Because who just had the big-earning trilogy which helped restart the superhero films?
I don't. The bat looks fat. 3/10
Woop. Woop. Pull over that bat too fat.
Batman's logo is like that because his design is based off his design in Dark Knight Returns
Also, if this is even half as good as the animated The Dark Knight Returns
It wont be
Holy shit. This is from 2007:
That was a reference to the Superman/Batman comic series that started in 2003: [editline]21st May 2014[/editline]
I'm only interested in this if it ends up being a movie version of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.
The problem is that TDKR works well as a capstone or follow-up to a preexisting Batman (and Superman). It's a brilliant grand finale but a terrible introduction. [editline]21st May 2014[/editline]
Because who just had the big-earning trilogy which helped restart the superhero films?
The trilogy that is completely unrelated to this film :v:
Why the fuck is batman's name first when it's supposed to be a sequel to Superman's own fucking movie? And Batman's logo is bigger as well...
One just had one of the most successful trilogies ever with 2 of the films raking in more than a billion dollars in box office revenue and the other only just had a new movie that polarized audiences to an absolutely absurd degree, can you guess which is more likely to get top billing?
I'm still very "Sigh, oh well, shrug" about anything DC tbh they are very unimpressive
It seems like DC is good at TV and animated movies, while Marvel is better at live-action movies [sp]and comics (opinions)[/sp]
Because who just had the big-earning trilogy which helped restart the superhero films?
Pfft. You meant X-Men and Spider-Man right? Batman almost KILLED Superhero films. Batman and Robin? Did we forget?
Blade, X-Men, and Spider-Man revitalized the superhero genre at the turn of the century. Then things picked up again in 2008 with Iron Man kicking off the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Dark Knight getting rave reviews.
they are making generic comedies by the thousands generic action movies vy the thousands generic horror movies by the thousands generic love films by the thousands. whats the point
Well not all genres are always being made "by the thousands". Some are popular only for a short time and then die off (Film Noire), others can have sinusoidal popularity. There are however genres that are always being made all the time (the ones you pointed out, for example.) I'm not informed how it is and was on Superhero movies though.
I enjoy Marvel's movies because they're very well-rounded - good characters, good plot, good visuals, very little to complain about. I enjoyed Man of Steel because it was just good action. I'm probably gonna go see this one too, if just to see their take on Batman. The most recent trilogy was awesome and I'll be interested to see if this new Batman is as good as Bale's Batman.

If it was Nolan's batman I would understand but it's not and he shouldn't get top billing, this is supposed to be a Superman Sequel not another Batman movie with added Superman.
Not to mention that Superman is easily one of the most well-known fictional characters. It's not like nobody knows who the hell this "Super-Man" fellow is and are only going to show up if Batman's in it.
Why the fuck is batman's name first when it's supposed to be a sequel to Superman's own fucking movie? And Batman's logo is bigger as well...
Because he's the mother fucking batman thats why.
Sounds like the title to a Phoenix Wright game.
Yes, it's the next game in the series.
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
At some point after Trials and Tribulations, Godot changes both gender and the second letter of her name, and then proceeds to take Hollywood by storm. Wonder Woman confirmed for caffeine addiction. Oh and Wright will also be the new Batman. If he can be a fighting game character, why not a superhero? Edited: Oh and Apollo Justice will be Superman, because no one cares about Superman.
Citizen Kane isn't even that great it's pioneering but it aged terribly, think Deus Ex in videogames
It was pioneering for its time, that's the point and reason for the comparison. These movie-snobs expect each and every single film to ever be conceived and brought to the big-screen to be completely ground-breaking and 100% innovative, when you can't achieve that. Sometimes you just need to sit down, quiet down, and watch the movie for what it is rather than what you want it to be. If you don't like it, then cool, others might agree with you and others might enjoy it. Claiming people are somehow lesser beings for liking X movie is a retarded thing to do.
That was a reference to the Superman/Batman comic series that started in 2003:
The fuck is wrong with Sup's hands?
So we've got Ben Affleck, Zack Snyder's insanity, and the least interesting character ever. I think I'll be passing.
MAN OF STEEL sequel ..and then they put Batman's name first
Why the fuck is batman's name first when it's supposed to be a sequel to Superman's own fucking movie? And Batman's logo is bigger as well...
Because Batman is more popular because DC decided that Superman wasn't relevant to modern society anymore when they should have been supporting him with great writers.
The Batman trilogy (Begins was merely good) was very good in my opinion, but now they're just doing superhero movies by the thousands.
Have to disagree. The Dark Knight was deeply flawed writing wise and as a Batman story, but as its own super hero movie ignoring anything you might know about Batman it's good.
