Something is wrong with me, I'm only 14 and I stayed emotionless through those videos. :(

I feel sick for watching, but i will probably get over it in 15 or so minutes
Heh, yeah. Althought I would have yelled at the top of my lungs something like "EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET ME SPEAK, JESUS"
By the way, when you see things like this its quite easy to recognize how tame the "gore" in movies actually are
Actually, head wounds just bleed a LOT.
So my mate I was meant to be going to Thailand with has pulled out... and I've looked a lot into it and decided to go on my own.
From what I gather the trouble is relatively localised. The rest of the country is functioning as normal, and day to day this shouldn't affect my travelling. I'm not setting foot out of Bangkok airport just to stay on the safe side. When I land I'm going on a plane straight up to Chiang Mai.
I've spoke to several Thai citizens, ex-pats and travellers and I'm basing my decision on that. Not a 60-second news report. If there are any Thai's on here, or anybody that's been/is going let me know and maybe we could share information.

You'll be safe at Chaing Mai, I'm 95% certain. I live in the mostly suburban parts of Bangkok, 20km away from the protests, and I'm perfectly fine. HubmaN should know better about the airport area than me, you should ask him.
Unless they take the airport, but that's highly unlikely to happen.
Shit's quiet here. You'd think they'd take the airport via Bangna (massive highway)... but they took the other one.
Anyway, if you want riot porn here are two people with good stuff on YouTube:

Thinking of riding the BTS tomorrow for an aerial. I've never gone through the Silom line, actually.
Jesus Christ, that's terrible.
