Accused the British government of behaving like an imperial power
British? Imperial? Who would have guessed?

They're British, deal with it.
This is just never gonna end, is it?
Argentina is allowed an opinion?
can't say I support the Brits here, but they won it fair and square in a fight, the Argentines also have every right to take it back off them if they can.
The Falklands never belonged to Argentina.
If Argentina has a right to the Falklands just because it's off their coast, then either the US or Mexico has a right to all the Caribbean islands.

By that logic, does the UK have the right to take back its colonies in America that it lost in the war of independance? Think before you post - the Falklands have always belonged to Britan, how can Argentina "take it back?".
How can they call the Royal Navy pirates when they attacked the island and took it's inhabitance hostage?
They're just butthurt because they couldn't take back an island 200 miles or so off their coast because of a task force sent 8000 miles from home.
In my opinion it's up to the islanders, it's their home and they should decide, not some country that is whining that patch of land belongs to them because they want some oil.

My favourite one
The population of the Falklands wants to be British. The government invaded in 1982, to incite patriotism in the Argentine people, to divert attention away from human rights and economic problems. They also believed that Britain would not be willing to fight over the islands.
The Argentines, now knowing that Britain will defend the islands, whose inhabitants have been full British citizens since 1983, are now trying to play the 'colonialism is evil' card to try and further their own claim to the islands, which is ironically colonial itself.
What they do not seem to understand is playing this card is ridiculous, because the Falklands are quite happy to be under British rule. Therefore, the only real motivation for renewing tension over the island's sovereignty, is for its natural resources, and inciting patriotism and support amongst the Argentine people.
u mad? Argentine?
I don't get why this stupid government of ours still care for these islands, seriously, what's the point? A little bit of oil? Like that's gonna help our shitty economy at all. And if they still want them "back" because they are just close to us the Alaska should be part of Canada, the Canary Islands should belong to whatever country from Africa instead of Spain and whatever other islands out there to the nearest country.
This is why Politicians should not be allowed to use twitter. What she said is so placed out of context.
