You'd figure with that many subscribers they could get some decent content in a reasonable amount of time.
I don't know whether its the companies that aren't letting Netflix show their content or whether Netflix is being lazy, but especially in the UK, its annoying just how little content there is. On the rare occasion they do have a TV series I wish to watch, they only have half the seasons. Now, what do they expect me to do when I want to watch the rest of the seasons? Do I go to a retail store and buy the season on DVD for the low price of £49.99? No, I acquire them through "other methods".
I'm on a Netflix trial at the moment, but I'm not going to be subscribing any time soon. For one thing the selection of movies and TV shows on there is very limited, plus some of the TV shows on there have been edited for whatever reason. I watched a couple of episodes of Doctor Who, and there was about 10-15 minutes cut out of the episodes. Has anyone else noticed this?
You'd figure with that many subscribers they could get some decent content in a reasonable amount of time.
I have a feeling that some entertainment companies don't want to let Netflix have the latest and greatest, but at the same time given the sheer amount of subscriptions and money that Netflix has they shouldn't have a problem getting companies like that to license their content to them.
Watched 4 seasons of breaking bad on netflix, that alone was worth it
I tried the trial of Netflix. It's a cool service, but their selection in Ireland is unforgivably shit. I might subscribe in the future when they add more stuff.
I'm glad there's at least a lot of MST3K on Netflix.
what... like singular episodes? for what series?
They left out the very last episode of Quantum Leap, you have to get the DVD in the mail for that episode. Although that may be Netflix protecting its viewers from the worst last 30 seconds of a series finale in TV history. [sp]Last thing in the entire series is a caption that the guy never made it home, which was the point of the whole show[/sp]
When netflix lost Starz they became shit and doesn't seem like they even tried to get a replacement.
I love how they have all of Paramounts older catalog, but their current catalog is lacking. Like, I've been watching TNG and haven't seen the J.J. Abrams Star Trek and wanted to watch that, but it was missing from there :v:. They've lost some shows, but they've gotten more deals with companies like AMC and have greatly expanded their catalog since then.
They deserve even more, Netflix is such a great service.
What? I have spotify premium does this mean I can get Netflix for free?
I got a mail about the offer. Didn't you? But it still have a decent collection of nice movies, shows and especially documentaries.
Won't it slow things down to a crawl though? Gonna try it though.
Netflix ruined BSG for me. They left out a midseason episode in season 4, which seriously made me skip some MAJOR plot points.
Wait shit WHAT
