I'd say I die a little inside every time provides a reason this inane for supporting Trump, but if that were true, I would have died inside enough to have been internally holocausted several times over.
You've heard 33 million people say they'd vote for trump because of inane reasons? wow, that's a lot

But I still think it doesn't really matter who's president. So if not Sanders, then I want Trump because it'll just piss everyone off, and he's better than Clinton anyway

I hate Trump, but I'd rather have someone genuinely dumb that at least represents himself than a double-speaking cooperate puppet who's only platform is: "Vote for me, I'm a woman." I think the only scenario I vote for Hillary is if it's Rubio or Cruz.
Honestly, Trump is starting to seem a lot better than the rest of these idiots. Oh god, what's wrong with me.
The better question is what's wrong with the american republican party.

That's pretty ridiculous. [editline]15th February 2016[/editline]
Hey I want Sanders. But I still think it doesn't really matter who's president. It leads me to believe you are not very serious about Sanders. [editline]15th February 2016[/editline] I really don't blame you if you don't like Clinton, but it seems a lot of you are letting resentment over a Sanders defeat lead you to vote for a candidate which represents the opposite of your beliefs.

People forget we're talking about the POTUS here and not your local student council. The United States is the MOST influential country in the world and voting an absolute buffoon, bigot, racist, whatever you want to call him into office will be utterly embarrasing. Not to mention the countless domestic and foreign repercussions of a Trump presidency. Bernie and Trump are such polar opposites too that it's really hard for me to believe that any true Bernie 'supporter' (if that's what you would call them) could easily vote for the exact opposite of everything he stands for.
At least you know where he stands and you wont be called a bigot for criticizing him. Hillary is a wild card and if it came down to hillary vs trump id vote third party instead.

A third party vote against Trump is a vote that doesn't go to defeat him.

But, to me, the most important topic for this election is taking steps towards removing the influence big corporations have on how this country is run. That is, beyond all else, the most important thing to me because what is good for them is not good for the average American. Hillary, and the DNC, have shown where they stand on this topic by their actions. Trump is a wild card, but I would rather take that chance than vote for Hillary. Also, I think Trump is far more intelligent than you give him credit for; he's leading over the slew of other establishment candidates running for the Republicans. He would probably be losing if there was one clear challenger, but there isn't and he's taking advantage of that.
The democratic debates are boring compared to these epic showdowns of anger and impatience

Your getting a candidate which has absolutely zero serious policys about anything. "We are going to make Mexico build a fence" "We are going to target and murder the families of terrorist and militants" "We are going to ban all Muslims from entering the U.S. " You hear him say this stuff and you trust him to remove corporate influence from Washington?
Wishy-washy? Everyone thought he had WMDs. Everyone. There were disagreements over the capabilities and which ones he had, but both pro-war (UK and US) and anti-war (France and Germany) agreed that he had them. This large degree of consensus, across countries and political positions, rather suggests that the evidence was not 'wishy-washy' but rather a logical presumption with a very high chance of being correct which turned out to be wrong, on in other words, the US/UK security services were 'reasonably incorrect'. The article I linked makes clear that the security services discounted the interviews with that guy who lied (though the same was admittedly not done by the White House itself). I would argue if there were WMDs, the war would have been completely justified. However, the (incorrect) assumption that he had them was also completely justified. As a result, when only examining the decision to go to war and ignoring the incompetence in the post-invasion stage, the war was justified in my view.
the justification was that sadam was training AQ soldiers, and that he planned on arming them with WMDs, we had reason to believe he had WMDs, but the extent of what he was using them for, or what they even were were completely made up by the intelligence community through basically heard mentality. [editline]15th February 2016[/editline]
Carson should drop out
he'd have to be awake long enough to announce it.
The democratic debates are boring compared to these epic showdowns of anger and impatience
Bernie is a standup guy and Hilarys gaffs never get reported.
You hear him say this stuff and you trust him to remove corporate influence from Washington?
No, he's a wild card. I have absolutely no confidence in Hillary to do it though.
You know where he stands, like for purposly murdering the families of terrorist and militants.
Lmao youre implying he even has a snowballs chance in hell at winning general, let alone getting his more radical ideas through the establishment republicans (who all denounced his ideas on how to handle terrorists and muslims) but i guess its easier to not look into shit and be in fear of big bad trump.
If you look into it, most polls put Donald Trump within 10 points of Hillary currently. It has been even closer within the last few months. Do I think he will win, no probably not, but its not as an outrageous as your suggesting.

Many of his plans are radical, especially when you compare his 'Medicare for all' plan to the PPACA, which iirc also started as single-payer healthcare. His vision will not get through Congress without huge amendments, especially given that, according to the Tax Foundation, after-tax incomes of all taxpayers would drop by at least ~12% over ten years if everything he has proposed is enacted, and that's enough to have virtually every Republican and half of the Democrats in Congress opposed to those plans. I too don't understand why people would be so sore of a Sanders defeat that they would go for someone who they will not share much (politically) in common with, such as Cruz or Trump, instead of supporting someone who is somewhat aligned with Sanders, Clinton, and who actually has a chance of getting reforms passed. 'But she's a corporate sellout!' but all politicians running for Presidency are, even Sanders is a sellout for unions; Trump may not be a 'corporate sellout' but he is actually the face of a corporation.
Except he usually says what people want to hear. A lot of Republican voters still really like GWB. He can't win if he alienates those people... hell, he would have a hard time winning even with their support. His whole campaign has centered around agitating people and riding off of that. He may have agitated the wrong people this time.
It seems he really is going to go after him more.
I absolutely love listening to Donald Trump on C-Span. He's like a walking SNL skit of himself. Here's a simple chart for Donald Trump responses to questions:
Question about World Trade Center? Surely, suuuuuuuuuurely we can't be going into 9/11 truther territory.
No, Trump just blames Bush for allowing 9/11 to happen, saying that Bush didn't take national security important enough. He later said that he had warned about Bin Laden in 2000 (see #2 in my chart above) [editline]15th February 2016[/editline] He also called him a liar about the Iraq war and WMDs. First candidate to have the balls to say it, really. But see #3 in my chart as well

If Trump touches 9/11 more like he did during the debate then his ratings will probably plummet by an entire 1%
I really don't see 9/11 conspiracy being that far out for him
Oh I'm sure, but I'm going off of what he said in the debate.

I would put my trust in Trump more than I would ever put my trust in Clinton. It isn't about their policies for me when it comes to these two. Clinton would get nothing done, Trump knows how to make deals happen, which is all government is now, because he's been doing it his whole life and has built an empire on being good at it. Trump has been fairly honest, and I like how he just says it like it is, or blurts out how he feels about something, not catering to the largest common denominator, and Clinton has been the opposite. Avoiding questions she doesn't like with a little fake giggle before talking about something else. Every time. EVERY time. You want the person who's going to do the best job. If you can't have them, then you want the person who's least likely to fuck everything up
Anything but Hillary.
Anything but Hillary.
I don't see how you'd rather have a republican than hillary
I don't see how you'd rather have a republican than hillary
Say what you want about their actually stances, but they are no where near as sleazy as Hillary is. Except Trump.
Say what you want about their actually stances, but they are no where near as sleazy as Hillary is. Except Trump.
You're telling me republicans are immune to corruption, and the only corrupt politician running for president is Clinton?
