I'd love to try and make some sort of gun myself, although here in Poland you can't get any Ammo, and I imagine ammo is a bit trickier to make.

Depends for what. Shotgun shells for instance aren't really complex to built.

The simplest open-bolt designs only require a faulty trigger to discharge every round in the magazine, so it's not all that shocking or confusing.
