Why is Romney so popular in Kenya compared to the other countries? That literally makes no sense.
Kenya is pissed off at Obongo for not launching his super secret Kenyan Muslim jihad.
America: we thought your country had reached maturity by voting a black man for president.
What people thought America reached maturity by voting in a black president?
The same people that thought that terrorists were "jealous of our freedom"?
And Obama's dad is from Kenya, so odd.
They might prefer Romney because Obama hasn't done anything to help them.
THERE! I SAID IT! PELT ROCKS AT ME!
People favour him because its as close as it gets in the US to a liberal president.

Well, Kenya is a pretty homophobic place and Obama did admit to back gay marriage.
Makes sense, considering how painfully liberal most of the rest of the world is.

Ppffttthahaha
Half of Europe has right-wing governments, or atleast strong conservative opposition.

More like how far right the United States has swung. I'm not bothered by the American Exceptionalist attitude, but when people talk like they're the center of the world, it's just pure arrogance.
I want to see Fox News get their bees in a bonnet over this.
Already did last night, overheard it while my folks were watching. It was all shit like, "Oh, France likes Obama the most! So does Kenya! BIIIIIG surprise, amirite?
Then some fucker talked about how you couldn't believe anything the BBC put out, and pretty much said the rest of the world can go fuck itself, because apparently they know better than the planet at large.
Nobody should be bothered by Exceptionalism. Everyone is entitled to think where they live is the best place in the world etc.
People are saying bad things about Pakistan for swinging towards Romney.
Obama is ordering drone strikes on them like there is no tomorrow. I am not surprised.
Romney would do the same goddamn thing.
Romney would do the same goddamn thing.
It does not matter. When you see that this one man is responsible for increased Drone attacks, you vote for the other guy.
Even though the other guy would be just as bad.

Conservatives around the world are closer to Democrats than to Republicans though.
Election is November 6, birthday is November 6, November 6 is a Tuesday, no school Tuesday, day off as a gift yay
Election is November 6, birthday is November 6, November 6 is a Tuesday, no school Tuesday, day off as a gift yay
that's a shitty day to have a birthday if you're reasonably invested in the outcome of an election

unless you drink all day, then it's aight
They dislike America so they want to see it get fucked over by a moron.
I misread that as Mormon, but it makes sense either way.
Nobody should be bothered by Exceptionalism. Everyone is entitled to think where they live is the best place in the world etc.
One thing is thinking it from time to time, that's unavoidable. Another thing is really believing it, that's just stupid (regardless of where you live, of course).
It's because they're judging him largely on foreign policy, don't know/care about how the US economy is doing and haven't been bombared with thousands of Romney ads.
AFAIK the only Obama domestic policy which got widespread news coverage in the UK was healthcare reform, and obviously everyone here loved that
i think its more of the fact that they can't tolerate romney's narcissism
i mean, jesus christ, did you hear his 'USA IS BEST LAST HOPE OF THE EARTH AND THE WORLD LOOKS TO IT FOR INSPIRATION' comment
Like they say, I'm laughing at elections, because they're already predetermined America's next three presidents.
Do you have any idea how the electoral college works? Like, at all?
Because the majority of Americans couldn't give two shits one way or the other, participation in politics is something people either don't care about, or are too clueless and ignorant on who to vote for. People think one man can do everything: change the economy, send all the troops home, fix healthcare, housing, ect, when no, that can't fucking happen. It hurts my brain when people automatically blame Obama for not fixing America, like four goddamn years is enough time to put a dent in a decades-old problem.
Perhaps they should make voting harder. Instead of just two names and a tick box they should have a choice of anonymous lists of fact checked policies. People who don't care enough to research won't influence the election and the ones who go anyway might vote for the guy the actually want instead of the one they think they want.

this is a terrible way to select representatives
this is a terrible way to select representatives
Posting whatever happens to pop into my head at 5:10am without thinking them over is a terrible way to create a method to select representatives. I apologise.

By saying "rest of the world" I was trying to imply that I was using an american viewpoint, but sure whatever your thing is cool too.
[editline]e[/editline]
Are you honestly trying to convince me that the rest of the world isn't liberal compared to america? Even europe's conservatives are considered to be liberal by american standards.
I apologize for America's massive ignorance. But how do we fix it? How do we stop Mittens or anyone like him from becoming a viable candidate? Honestly, it seems like nothing short of every other country in the world sitting us down and telling us how stupid we are is going to do a dang thing to the political issues we have here.
Yeah the US has its share of problems but you should really have a bit more backbone when talking about it. You sound like you really have no faith in your country's ability to do anything.
American right wing standards calls for civil war if they don't get their way. The ottoman fucking empire is liberal compared to the current GOP.
I'm pretty sure everyone outside of the US is wondering how the fuck you lot let Romney get so far.
This.
