EA Never Said that Dead Space was Too Scary; Headlines are misleading

Dead Space 1 and 2 weren't scary at all for me, the enemies movements are so obvious that I was always expecting some type of scripted event to happen whenever I walked past air vents or anything that looks like a man sized hatch in the ceiling walls and guess what, they were scripted events, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. The jump scares got old after the 3rd time in both games and the only thing that has me "Scared" is worrying about running out of ammo before I decapitate all of their limbs. The sound design in both games were the only thing to cause any sort of real tension for me.

I'd say it's more startling than scary. Goddamn musical stings
Oh, so they can tell me it's not too scary.
Well, awesome. I'm totally on board for Dead Space 3.
Bring me all the co-op, all the cover mechanics, and Hot damn do I want to shoot human enemies!
Frankly, I don't care what EA has said, Dead Space 3 is so fucking dead to me
Do you understand how E3 demonstrations and trailers work? They show the most action-packed parts of the game to get people to buy it. You're a dumbass if you think the entire game is hiding behind cover and shooting humans.

I just feel they're going in the wrong direction with this whole thing
Dead Space was pretty cool, trapped environments, claustrophobic halls, fighting off hordes of mangled humans
fighting soldiers outside just feels wrong. Outside areas feel wrong in general.
I'll need a demo, really, but most of it just seems unappealing. Universal ammo pisses me off, that takes out a lot of the survival fun. Terror came from the fact that I was running around making sure every shot counted becuase ammo for each gun was scarce
no longer
And to think all those people were hopping on the EA hate bandwagon in the other thread for no reason.
Just because one thing happened to be a lie doesn't mean EA isn't a terrible company.

I'm already in SH, what's new?
