Run them down. If they want to block busy roads then they can pay the consequences.
yeah, and the driver can serve time for vehicular homicide. really fucking smart
can we call zimmerman supporters zimmermen because it's an awesome name
Yes.
has this ever happened before?
but i'm sorry people should only be allowed to protest against things they feel are unjust when it doesn't actually impact anyone's lives right?
What are they even protesting against? This is just an assumption but I feel like the majority of the #justicefortrayvon people haven't watched the trial.
can we call zimmerman supporters zimmermen because it's an awesome name
Then when this quiets down we can have headlines line "Zimmermen simmered"
"Blocking a road is technically illegal" is really different from saying that they were intentionally trying to stop someone from getting to the hospital. Stop defending this bullshit. Can we please get a moderator to do something? This crap is getting out of hand.
Get a moderator to do what? Ban people who don't share your opinion? Yeah, I haven't heard that one before.
can we call zimmerman supporters zimmermen because it's an awesome name
Z-men.
What are they even protesting against? This is just an assumption but I feel like the majority of the #justicefortrayvon people haven't watched the trial.
what is there to protest??? the trial is done and over with. They need to move the fuck on.
Blocking streets is absolutely a good reason to criticize protesters.
Thanksgiving day parades block streets too. Ban parades
"Blocking a road is technically illegal" is really different from saying that they were intentionally trying to stop someone from getting to the hospital. Stop defending this bullshit. Can we please get a moderator to do something? This crap is getting out of hand.
The woman in the car pleaded to the crowd that she needed to take her sick daughter to the hospital, that is when one of them reached towards the door handle as you can see in the video. Isn't that intentionally trying to prevent them from getting to the hospital? Let alone trying to pull her out of the car?
This thread is stupid. Calling people "traybots" is stupid. Pretending that filling up a road during a protest meant they were intentionally trying to keep people from getting to the hospital is stupid. The outcome of the Zimmerman trial has made SH really fucking stupid.
Agreed with all of the above, but adding that blocking major roadways is also really fucking stupid.
Thanksgiving day parades block streets too. Ban parades
Those are planned out and take streets that aren't directly in the path of emergency services.
that's sorta the point of a lot of protesting... rallies or marches are great and all, but at the end of the day there have to be people actually fucking with the system in order to bring about radical change. do you think any government would give in to protester's demands if the protests failed to disrupt the economy or civil cohesion?
I have seen 3 or 4 protests in Denver that did not involve the blocking of major roadways.
"Blocking a road is technically illegal" is really different from saying that they were intentionally trying to stop someone from getting to the hospital. Stop defending this bullshit. Can we please get a moderator to do something? This crap is getting out of hand.
"mods please help my one dimensional and incorrect argument" The Zimmerman trial is not an excuse to behave like animals. Everyone who's participating in violent or criminal activity as a result of the verdict needs to stop.

excuse me, nippleman, but that's a plaza not a street???
The woman in the car pleaded to the crowd that she needed to take her sick daughter to the hospital, that is when one of them reached towards the door handle as you can see in the video. Isn't that intentionally trying to prevent them from getting to the hospital?
Oh a guy reached towards the door handle. That means that everyone in the protest was trying to stop them from getting to the hospital. That means that everyone who goes to any protest is a rioter who is up to no good. That means that I can dismiss the humanity of everyone who disagrees with me about the Zimmerman case and by calling them "Traybots". But I also better make as many threads as I can about this so everyone around me knows, too.

That's not a street, Iago. That's a park.
excuse me, nippleman, but that's a plaza not a street???
Oh yes, a plaza. Thank you. Plaza is the term I was looking for. Get with it, Nippleman.

Thats not even a street...
That's not a street, Iago. That's a park.
Most of the streets near me have waterways down the middle and the Washington Monument at the end. You're cray-cray.
I love it that it's the pro-zimmerman crowd filling this place with threads about zimmerman so that they harp on about those dang traybots and teh mediaz. I'm not going to read these threads anymore. All decent people should do the same. Leave the traybots and closet racists to their antics.

That is a planned rally. And there isn't a road there. You'd better fucking start thinking before you post, lest you make your side seem any more ignorant.
That is a planned rally. And there isn't a road there. You'd better fucking start thinking before you post, lest you make your side seem any more ignorant.
That's not his side, that's just him.
That's not his side, that's just him.
He could be schizophrenic. v:v:v
btw guys "civil disobedience", nowadays a major part of any social movement, requires the action to be illegal and disruptive in order to fit the definition. civil disobedience is what gandhi and mlk jr. are both famous for. rosa park's refusal to move from her seat was an act of civil disobedience. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] so "it's illegal" is a weak fucking argument against the validity of any protester's actions.
He could be schizophrenic. v:v:v
Part of me agrees with you, and another part of me wants me to set fire to park benches.
Part of me agrees with you, and another part of me wants me to set fire to park benches.
Only if me, myself and I get to join you!
Scary to see you're okay with someone dying because they couldn't reach the hospital because civil disobedience takes priority.
said no one in this thread
Scary to see you're okay with someone dying because they couldn't reach the hospital because civil disobedience takes priority.
do you have an idea that might be a useful compromise? action that disrupts society, breaks laws, but can prevent endangering a bystander's life?
