I think he assumes that poor people are poor for a reason and thus "survival of the fittest"
Bingo.
I think he assumes that poor people are poor for a reason and thus "survival of the fittest"
Thinking the poor are poor because they are somehow genetically inferior is both idiotic and demonstrably false Furthermore, advocating leaving the lower classes to die is a terrible idea regardless because it will either result in a collapse of infrastructure, at which point the wealth of the rich will have no value, or the poor will simply go batshit and kill everybody, which is what happens when you let them go hungry And then infrastructure will collapse anyway
Hasn't the issue of Healthcare been a major issue that dated back to Nixon's administration? I mean I read that he tried to pass something of the sort during his presidency.

Poor people ARE poor for a reason. That it may be that they were tricked, they did not work, or they spent their money fruitlessly. I said nothing about genetics in it, but was using Darwinism to describe the fact that if a person were to be poor and end up in that kind of situation, then they would be SOL. Besides, people will go batshit even if there was no reason. As for the rich being attacked, then they did not properly prepare for any attack. There are VERY few cases where I would feel sympathy for the poor (Orphans for one). But I would not WANT them to get harmed, I cant say that I would care if they did though.
Which is widely reviled, and has nothing to do with biological Darwinism (which is widely beloved).
I'm well aware of that. don't assume that I condone Social Darwinism.
Poor people ARE poor for a reason. That it may be that they were tricked, they did not work, or they spent their money fruitlessly.
i'm poor because i'm a med student who pays for everything by himself
i'm poor because i'm a med student who pays for everything by himself
Then you should work to pay it off.
Then you should work to pay it off.
pay what off
pay what off
Then I must have misinterpreted the post. I thought you are in debt. I stay the same though, if you need money, work for it.
Then I must have misinterpreted the post. I thought you are in debt. I stay the same though, if you need money, work for it.
i'm a college student who can only work part time and have to put all the money i have towards college funds your whole "poor people this" is completely and utter nonsense and completely bypasses the intellectual growth of the past 400 years.
Then I must have misinterpreted the post. I thought you are in debt. I stay the same though, if you need money, work for it.
by your logic everyone gets paid an equal amount of money so that everyone has equal opportunities
I wish I could be so idealistic about the world Edit: Rich people can afford to pay for all of the medical schools and colleges and all kinds of extra education. Poor people have other things to worry about

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty_cycle [editline]10:32PM[/editline]

Where did you gain this supernatural ability?
Yeah, I'm sure there are no programs out there that offer money for people to go to college for trying hard in school. Oh, right scholarships Wait, but if you don't have the school supplies you can't do any of the work so you don't make good grades. OH, right there are programs for that too.
Yeah, I'm sure there are no programs out there that offer money for people to go to college for trying hard in school. Oh, right scholarships Wait, but if you don't have the school supplies you can't do any of the work so you don't make good grades. OH, right there are programs for that too.
It helps to have parents who pay attention to you and make sure you understand the importance of education OH RIGHT your single mother is working full time in order to support you too bad
This is finally going to bring what is needed to America. Obama seriously has saved America.
OH NO it turns out your single mother has breast cancer and can't get treatment because she couldn't afford health premiums I guess you were just genetically inferior tough break man
My mom doesn't have breast cancer thank you very much.
Get out of my automerge
OH NO it turns out your single mother has breast cancer and can't get treatment because she couldn't afford health premiums I guess you were just genetically inferior tough break man
Well technically, you were genetically (I guess) more susceptible to breast cancer, so I guess...But who cares
Yeah, I'm sure there are no programs out there that offer money for people to go to college for trying hard in school. Oh, right scholarships
yea I'm sure if everyone tries hard gets a scholarship they'll get one. oh wait, it's a competition (and sometimes even a lottery! what a grand system). not everyone wins, not everyone is eligible. you could easily get rejected. or the scholarship is for a college that doesn't have the courses you want. not to mention most college graduates don't make much for years and are in huge amounts of debt.
Well technically, you were genetically (I guess) more susceptible to breast cancer, so I guess...But who cares
No, rich people get breast cancer too Only they can afford to pay for it
No, rich people get breast cancer too Only they can afford to pay for it
But I'm just talking like literally, I would SUPPOSE they're LITERALLY genetically inferior, but that doesn't mean ANYTHING
But I'm just talking like literally, I would SUPPOSE they're LITERALLY genetically inferior, but that doesn't mean ANYTHING
No, that's not what "literally" means. Poverty isn't genetic.
no, that's exactly what literally means but that doesn't mean it has anything to do with poverty
Why would you say poor people are "literally" genetically inferior When there is exactly this much evidence to support that idea:
no i'm saying that getting breast cancer literally makes you less...yeah you know but it doesn't mean anything ok
The bill probably is a step at a more socialist america. But you know what, that's a good thing. America has always tooted the 'democracy' horn at any chance they get. They are democratic, so they are the best. Wake up. The country is turning its back on the majority. People always say things like, "I don't wanna pay for others." This argument is outdated. The world no longer lives in the dark ages where you have to conserve the only bread you have to stay alive. We are rich enough and issues like hunger don't have to be ISSUES. There is no reason why we can't be compassionate to others. People also always toot the "no incentive to get rich" argument. Wake up. You aren't going to get rich. The way this system, just like any other is going to work, is that theres the top few, and the bottom many. 1.) In the times of slavery, the poor southern yeomen farmers accepted the rich white aristocrat plantation owners owning slaves because they believed that one day they'd be able to get rich and get their own slaves. 2.) In the second industrial revolution, we tolerated people like Carnegie because he was the image of what, "we could all become". Know what? He got lucky. Post this bill, and post other government take overs of other industries, there will still be an incentive to try. You can still do your job well, you just shouldn't have to do it stepping over the corpses of the masses behind you. P.S: I know you are being "FORCED" (Oh noe!) out of your money, but society forced those individuals into lives of destitution. "Well! They made choices that put them there!" And you are making the choice to continue to live in America.
1. U.K.’s heart-attack fatality rate is almost 20% higher than America’s 2. Angioplasties in Britain are only 21.3% as common as they are here 3. NICE ruled against the use of two drugs, Lapatinib and Sutent, that prolong the life of those with certain forms of breast and stomach cancer 4. Prostate cancer kills 19% of American and 57% of Brits 6. in 2006, a U.K-based board decreed that elderly patients with macular degeneration had to wait until they went blind in one eye before they could get a costly new drug to save the other eye. It took three years to get that outrageous decree reversed. 7. NICE will cut annual steroid injections for severe back pain from 60,000 to 3,000. Result? “It will mean more people on opiates, which are addictive and kill 2,000 a year. It will mean more people having spinal surgery, which is incredibly risky and has a 50% failure rate.” 8. Nearly 1.8 million people are waiting for a hospital admission or outpatient treatment 9. U.S. = 34 CT scanners per million; Britain = 8 10. U.S. = 27 MRI machines per million; Britain = 6 11. Brits wait twice as long to see a specialist than Americans 12. In U.S., recommended age for colon-cancer screening for men begins at 50. NHS starts at age 75. 13.

Replace "Americans" with "rich Americans" and you might be onto something If you're rich enough in the UK you can still go to private clinics.
There's a vid of it now
