Here's a good graph for you :
We all must remember that most of us in the USA don't take care of ourselves and eat food that isn't even good enough for a dog, which would attribute to a lower life expectancy to that of the rest of the world.
It simply means that your healthcare is not nearly as effective as it should be, for the amount of money you pay for it. That came off incredibly condescending and not at all helpful. Sorry.
Actually you told me exactly what conclusion I should be drawing from that graph, as obvious as it was. I didn't realize how much we were paying for the same health care other people in other countries get for half as much.

Hopefully you will change your system soon, maybe even to a single-payer system like the NHS.
I'm a bit new to what this healthcare reform does, but I understand it's resembling our British NHS a bit more? Is that right or not?
Am I the only one who thinks this is awful? Hooray, America took another step towards socialism. It's unconstitutional to force someone to buy anything, even insurance. This is fucking stupid, and you're plain dumb if you think this is a good thing. Sure, it helps people without money, but they probably don't have money for a reason, like most people on welfare. So hooray, I get to work my ass off to pay for the lazy assholes in the country. It would seem they're taking away any incentive to become rich because you'll just get taxed to hell. Way to punish someone for their abilities you fucking asshole government. When we crash into the ground, just remember that I fucking called it.
No, Obama hasn't started killing yet.
What makes you think that he IS going to start killing people?
A step in the right direction on a much longer road.
More like another step towards the wrong direction on socialism road.
I'm a bit new to what this healthcare reform does, but I understand it's resembling our British NHS a bit more? Is that right or not?
No, this bill doesn't do anything like that.
No, this bill doesn't do anything like that.
In that, my basic understanding is that it makes Healthcare publicly avaliable and that you don't pay...specifically for appointments, if you don't need it, you're still taxed and vic verse. I'm not entirely sure how the NHS works I'm afraid.
middle class is getting fucked in the ass.... i wont be posting much longer
Yeah, it's not like pretty much every other industrialized nation does it or anything :frogbon:
But we aren't every other fucking nation. What made America great is that we stood apart from everyone else, and we became great because free people aspired to be all they could be, yet industrialists who became millionaires on their own abilities are spat on and called greedy parasites, then everyone gets happy when the government starts taxing them into the ground. My family is poor, but we work for our health insurance, and I worked my ass off for this PC and my other luxuries. I don't need the government's help, and if my family, in the financial state it is in, doesn't need it, then nobody else does.
-You pay taxes -Money from taxes goes to NHS -When you are horribly injured you don't go bankrupt
That's my understanding yes, is Obama putting something similar into action?
That's my understanding yes, is Obama putting something similar into action?
Nothing at all like it, the bill is kind of shit at the moment according to my understanding, but it will hopefully lead to something better in the future.
Yeah, it's not like pretty much every other industrialized nation does it or anything :frogbon:
Yeah I want to pay taxes for some drug addict to get quality health care for Od'ing on drugs just so he can go OD again. I also would love to have a doctor who was only mediocre in med school because now, I won't be able to choose my doctors. If people are whining for healthcare they should have thought about it in the long run. Everyone has the same chance as anyone else. If they work hard in school they can get scholarships and go to college start a family and afford insurance. On the other hand, if you don't, drop out, and don't get a job and live off welfare...what do you expect? No one is going to give you hand outs all the time....OH WAIT we have a Democrat as a president I forgot.
Nothing at all like it, the bill is kind of shit at the moment according to my understanding, but it will hopefully lead to something better in the future.
Ah right, fair enough. I'll look it up tomorrow morning before college.
What makes you think that he IS going to start killing people?
Absolutely nothing. Just saying that Osama and Hitler were both murderers.
Am I the only one who thinks this is awful?
no and none of you shut up about it we get it socialism bla bla bla money be original for fucks sake

i do not like this bill because it does not favour large subsidies to the brainslug planet
That's it. that is the reason and A complete change of form of government should suffice. Taking money from you to pay for someone else that you are not responsible for should suffice.
Taking money from you to pay for someone else that you are not responsible for should suffice.
This concept is not new Edit: it's called taxes and it's been around as long as governments have
fixed [editline]01:28PM[/editline] hurr
hurr your so funny and chill [editline]06:26PM[/editline] we should totally be friends dude
http://healthinsurance.about.com/od/healthinsurancebasics/a/cost_of_health_insurance.htm According to this website, the annual health insurance paid by the average American is $2985. http://www.wellho.net/mouth/326_UK-Tax-payment-totals-and-where-the-money-is-spent.html According to this other website, the average amount of money spent on the NHS from one person's taxes is £1120. £1120 is roughly equal to $2240 So you still end up paying more. Fucking lol'd my ass off.

People who are rich deserve to be rich because they worked hard all though school. They probably got all A's got scholarships and worked hard all though college. If you are poor more than likely you can thank your parents for that. They had just as much of a chance as a World-renowned surgeon.
This concept is not new Edit: it's called taxes and it's been around as long as governments have
Yeah taxes should pay for things like teachers, or firefighters or policemen, or fixing roads or bridges. Paying taxes for Social Security for the blind is something I agree with. They con not control that they are blind. However, you can control how much money you make.
