again, we are talking about white people as an institution, not as the individual.
I was a victim of reverse racism once. People were treating me equal to everyone else and shit. It made me feel so low. I studied there for most of my life and it's given me so many opportunities.

guys guys I've got a great idea. to fix the seperation and inconsistencies between races and genders, we should put in a system that causes further seperation, enforces perceived difference and still doesn't fix the inconsistencies. great idea
As a half white half Mexican, with a Spanish last name, I do definitively see the different treatment. During face to face communication, people see a white guy. From online stuff, or anything not using face to face (such as a system like education programs) I'm a Mexican American. [editline]13th February 2012[/editline] Let me make this clear: I think the concept of Affirmative Action is noble, and still needed. What I think is that over the years the institutional/bureaucratic bs has made "the system" so fucked up and convoluted that allot of policies are not working as it was intended. [QUOTE=thisispain;34645974]that's funny because the reason affirmative action exists is because black people don't have the same opportunity as white people. you're acting like white people are the ones that have less opportunity now. just so you know, that's pretty stupid. just being white means you have better credit.[/QUOTE] I also had to pay for my college out of pocket... Where as my BLACK friend who's dad is the president of Kohls and makes a lot of money got offered a free ride to the same college and with worse grades than I had. Interesting. It was harder for me to get into college and cost me more. Sounds pretty equal to me.

Not all our dads can be president of Kohl's [editline]13th February 2012[/editline] [QUOTE=The Baconator;34680798]As a half white half Mexican, with a Spanish last name, I do definitively see the different treatment. we're gonna go step by step why it doesn't work, answer this question anyone. why does affirmative action exist.
