Oh god dammit I thought that disclaimer was at the bottom of the page. It's fucking the first thing before you start reading the damned thing. :v:
It's at both the top and the bottom of the article.

This is what Smoked2Joints actually believes.

oxygen where are you
Also, this is the only thing that needs to go into the Vaccines Safety Discussion Megathread's OP:

And then lock the thread.
The GOVERNMENT told me I need to drink water to survive! Well, water can KILL and I have first-hand experience because my friend drowned in the ocean. I mean, you can't even drink seawater! I only let my kids drink vodka, like in the old days. The alcohol helps to give them strong livers and if anything you find says otherwise it was funded by the rehab clinic conspiracy.

Ban the use of bihydrogen monoxide now before it hurts any more innocent lives

Careful, oxygen is highly reactive and causes explosions. My friend burned to death thanks to oxygen.

And trioxygen will outright kill you in extremely low concentrations in the air, it's even produced by electrical components!
Thats horrible untrue they make a serious killing on everything they make. So you are telling me that a multi-billion dollar corporation is just turning out these vaccines for nothing? I did some research and they made around 24 Billion on vaccines in 2013 apparently that's only 1.83% of their yearly profits but still thats hardly a drop in the ocean.
i work in a medical centre, i've heard all the nutjob anti-vaccine people. the vaccines for children (and many other vaccines we provide) are government funded and are given free to patients.
keep posting though, i'd really like to read more of your eternal wisdom :~)
I've worked with only one kid at a DD school that their issues were caused by a vax. It certainly wasn't autism. Also they're the only kid that survived the bad batch.
ydo know that some people are allergic to vaccines due to how theyre made, right?
More useless conjecture where's the so called evidence for this?
Anti-vaxxers are basically flat-earthers or 9/11 troofers. They don't get the slightest bit of respect because they don't deserve it, they claim that they're asking questions but they completely ignore the answers when they disagree with them.
I can at least sort of understand 9/11 truthers though even though they're wrong. Why didn't they shoot the plane's down? There is some unanswered questions about 9/11 but antivaxination is full retard.
i remember taking a vaccine years ago when the swine flu was rampant and it just made it worse

What makes you think that was the vaccine that did that?

Sorry about that post I was half asleep when I wrote it.
http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/side-effects.htm
of course anything can cause negative reactions, its the nature of medicine in general, and vaccines are not exempt.
However, I would also like to point out that the actual odds of getting killed by a vaccine are lower than getting struck by lightning. If you dont take vaccinations (and other people dont), that group of people who are unvaccinated spread disease easily, leading to a high risk of permanent disabilities or even death.
It boils down to this:
some people, for medical reasons (such as allergies) cannot be vaccinated. So to protect them, we vaccinate everyone else so disease cannot spread. The reason the antivax movement is so frowned upon is because by choosing to not vaccinate, you aren't only endangering yourself, you are endangering people who can't be vaccinated. It is incredibly selfish and you don't even get a gain out of it, its actually a loss for you as well.
That is why the antivax movement is simply beyond stupid.

Oh man it's almost like how did we even survive all those hundreds of years WITHOUT needles in our bodies? What else in the world can protect us from disease so effecti- oh wait we had immune systems and proper hygiene...

Except when some viruses are literally evolved to destroy out immune systems, so we need vaccines to help out.
You know you sound crazy right?

We don't need it, it is beneficial though overall.
Like we don't need computers, but they provide access to a immense amount of stored knowledge.
Or how we don't need multivitamins, but they allow for an unbalanced diet to still not completely ruin your health.
Or how we don't need cars, but they are a whole lot more convenient than carriages are.

All three of those things have downsides, with the bad sometimes outweighing the god. You can't throw technology and science at every single problem and expect it to get better.

If you hate modern technology so much, why don't you just go live out in the woods where you don't have to experience any of it? Forage for berries and hunt deer with a hand-made bow, like we used to thousands and thousands of years ago.

I fully intend to.
Is this seriously the kind backlash i can expect for questioning science on FP? Even just a little by asking basic questions and at least trying to be the devil's advocate? Remind me to never be skeptical on FP again. Just trust big pharma and everything will be ok. :v:
You can't throw technology and science at every single problem and expect it to get better.
oh, I guess you are right. Lets go back to the middle ages, where we solved our problems with good old religion and "witchcraft", because that worked SO well.
The thing you do not understand is that a part of science is trying things, if it doesn't work, then we stop doing it.
Vaccines work. They work pretty damn well. There are some precautions about it (namely making sure you don't vaccinate those that are allergic to it) but it sure the heck beats having black plaque, polio, various other diseases.
Stop being a hypocrite. Your argument that "those things have downsides" is completely invalid, because dying from something completely preventable is a pretty big downside.
All three of those things have downsides, with the bad sometimes outweighing the god. You can't throw technology and science at every single problem and expect it to get better.
Do the downsides of those outweigh the benefits of them?
Computers-Benefits include: instant information comparison, communication, research material, and entertainment. Downsides: shut in syndrome, potential vision problems, and exposure to information that you never wanted to know and wish you could forget(shock images/weird porn).
Multivitamins-Most of your daily needs of almost all minerals and vitamins you need.
Okay for this one what is the downside? Besides the occasional filler with a small portion the population could be allergic to, this one seems pretty damn beneficial overall.
Cars-Benefit- No horses, intercity travel at 55-65 MPH and larger scale transportation of goods. Downsides: traffic accidents and less horses overall.
In any of those cases, does the downsides outweigh the benefits? In any case except for traffic accidents and the occasional billboard hacker, each of those is something that you subject yourself to when using it.
Also, you really do sound kind of hypocritical arguing these kinds of things on the internet of all things.

Okay; there is a difference between skepticism, and willful ignorance. Do you know how much you sound like the latter?

Tell you what, I'm gonna expose you to Polio, and then you wash your hands until you're immune to Polio, k?

Question what you like, but don't get butthurt when people call you out for failing to do any preliminary research or providing any posts with substance. These ideas and methods are the results of years and years of rigorous studies and experiments and so far no one has managed to bring anything worthwhile to the table.
There are few cases where people shouldn't be vaccinated. Vaccines are constantly improving in efficacy and general safety. Vaccination saves money and lives on the whole. You're hardly playing the devil's avocado here.
I mean, someone could bring up the handful of studies that seem to imply certain vaccines have higher rates of efficacy at ages other than those currently suggested by the WHO, but for every one that says the timetable should be pushed back there are two or three that say we ought to vaccinate earlier. Even then, these studies still suggest that everyone capable of being vaccinated should be vaccinated.
Good luck in the woods. If you live like you post you're going to need all the help you can get.

"questioning science" is a nonsensical concept since science is about questioning things. You can't just assume everything is false without having evidence to back up that claim. Enjoy your life as a luddite.

Do you hear that?

There was some proper hygiene a couple hundred years ago like washing your hands in warm water or vinegar but by today's standards it was quite archaic. Teeth brushing was also almost non existent.
There wasn't much hygiene but it was better than nothing.
