I'm totally in favor of removing VHS tapes from libraries. Why the hell do we need outdated crap like that when we have DVDs and digital storage?

The purpose of a library is to store the collected knowledge of the world, and to make it available to anyone and everyone. It doesn't necessarily have to be good knowledge.

Libraries have a really small budget.

Well played, sir.
That's kind of wierd, most of the libraries in Arizona are well funded and switched to dvd within 2 years of the technology becoming available. Also Hikind is going extremely over the top, pulling all the VHS tapes off the shelves. Seems like a waste. Lastly, what kind of parent lets their young kids watch Austin Powers in the first place?
