Disney Infinity Leaked - A Cross Platform Game that acts like Minecraft and Just Cause
In one scene, Toy Story's Woody uses a "sticky hand" toy, Disney Infinity's version of Just Cause's grappling hook, to grab a passing plane being flown by Buzz Lightyear. The stretchy, neon-green leash attached to the sticky hand elongates, dragging Woody off his feet and into the air behind the plane. It's one of many examples of Disney Infinity's emergent gameplay.
Welp. I'm interested.
Mickey's a straight man, which is boring when he doesn't get a funny man counterpart.

Well, I guess he has Goofy. Sometimes.
That's up to Square, and Square has a really hard time making games. I don't know what it is about Japanese devs, but they either outsource their development or higher western devs. If a studio doesn't do that, for some reason, and I don't know why, but they either make portable games or just port their 90s hits to any modern platform.
Kojima has a team made up of mostly westerner developers, most of Squares releases are made by Eidos, if not, it's usually a port of an rpg to a modern platform.
Square should honestly make another Chrono game with the depth and whatnot of the original Chrono Trigger, without too much Western influence. That being said I'm wondering if the whole turn-based RPG/ATB systems are all that great; sure Chrono Trigger's ATB was better than traditional turn-based RPG systems, as well as more in-depth and whatnot than something like FFXIII-2's ATB macro, but I've still had thoughts of a battle system that's got a bit more action, yet also possesses tactics, but not in the direction of Final Hallway XIII.
Personally I was thinking something like the actual combat being real-time, with the characters using their standard attacks in combos like with Crono's sword or aiming like with Marle's crossbow, as well as being able to move, jump, dodge, block, etc, but there would be a sort of Pause menu where the player could alter the behaviours of characters a'la Dragon Age, use Items, and order party members to use Techs. Double Techs like Antipode Bomb and Triple Techs like Delta Force would definitely be a feature, with party members combining their powers to unleash more powerful techniques, though party members contributing to the Double Tech/Triple Tech would each expend some of their MP to make it work.
Sure it's far from traditional JRPG battle systems, but from what I've seen, JRPGs seem have more of an emphasis on story and character than on gameplay; the overall turn-based formula of JRPGs doesn't seem to have changed much, with the exception of Chrono Trigger's ATB. With the right marriage of great gameplay and great story/characters, an excellent RPG can be made. Other than an improved and even more enjoyable battle system, maybe with co-op support a'la Secret of Mana if you want friends in control of party members, we wouldn't need much to be changed, except having a gorgeous art-style that takes on the task of reproducing the visual aesthetic of the original Chrono Trigger in a modern environment and executes it well. Hell, it wouldn't even need to be 3D; it could be top-down like the original game with a similar system of sprites and illustrated 2D backgrounds like in traditional JRPGs, since to be honest do we really need all the 3D bells and whistles so long as the game looks gorgeous?
but there's also 20s Mickey when he basically would fuck around on every job he had and do crazy shit.

What about when Donald flips the fuck out?
Also, if Scrooge McDuck isn't playable, I'm going to resurrect Walt Disney and punch him in the mouth repeatedly.

Old and New TRON characters and items or even a hub would be nice.

Really? I haven't played it in years, but I remember it being not too good. You had to pay lots of money to be able to do anything interesting, there was a big fight going on about moderator censorship of opinions, and the main focus was on micro-transactions for "cool" stuff.
Basically, kinda like Roblox, except with even more lag.

Actually, if I remember correctly, you need to subscribe to play ToonTown. After that, you won't need anymore money until your subscription expires.

It's not like it's going to get easier next gen. Japanese developers are seriously fucked if they don't get their act together next time around, this gen was a disaster.

Roblox was rather playable without paying for anything.
[sp]At least, it was initially.[/sp]

What do you mean initially
It still is, you just have to pay for cosmetics and miscellaneous items
Nobody's forcing you to pay to play games
I still like to play Roblox sometimes (honestly once a year or so), but I'm automatically a bad person and a 5 year old for doing so according to everyone
Also, this seems pretty cool. I wonder how it'll turn out, Disney has been doing pretty well recently.
Some Valve-style seasonal events would be pretty neat. Oogie Boogie taking over on Halloween or something.
Reminds me of that one lego game.
i wonder if they'll acknowledge atlantis
ill be fucking floored
