Red Faction might be getting turned into a TV show

The only thing Red Faction and Syfy have in common is that they know how to destroy stuff.
The one hing i hope they carry on is the communist undertones from the games. How the people rebel and what conflicts they would have as a discriminated people who fought three diffrent kinds of assailants
the movies on the SyFy channel suck major dicks and that's saying it nicely. But the TV shows are incredible so are miniseries'
similar in style to the science fiction network's Battlestar Galactica
Oh god no oh god please no.
I remember playing the first Red Faction in the Extra's Greenhouse. Burrowing up to the top and having elaborate fortwars.

This, and other movies, are clearly the best movies ever.
Jeepers creepers was fucking shit.
Anybody remember Dragon wars?
Hahahahah... What?
The fuck? Seriously! Video game movies with $100 million budget sucks cock, what makes them think a TV show will be better?
Might not be too bad,
If they blow something up every five seconds.

Not an evil megacorp.
I haven't played Red Faction, but I know it's story and I know Ultor from Saints Row 2, so this shit is gonna get wacky.
I don't know about games getting made into TV shows. so we'll have to see.
It'll be good if they blow shit up every 5 seconds. I get the feeling it'll be bad acting and montages of shit being blown up.
UWE BOLL gogogo
Yesterday I saw a movie on SyFy entitled: Ginger Bites Back: Unleashed, It was about a werewolf. I just hope they get a decent writer and director for this. (I also hope it's about the first Red Faction, or atleast has gratuitous references to the first one.)
Parker, you do not know me but my name is Hendrix and I want to help you.
I sure hope the dialoge will be better then the game.

That's a perfectly reasonable way for somebody who is supposed to be an oppressor to introduce themselves to a prisoner who doesn't know him. Simple and to the point. What else would he say? "'Sup Parker, this is Hendrix from Admin, let's crack some heads!"
This could work if they do it well. The setting and plot in the Red Faction series (Red Faction 2 never happened. There is no Red Faction 2.) is pretty good, but it depends on if they cheese it up beyond hell. As in, too many stupid explosions and destruction would be mighty stupid.
So when will it be set? Pre-Red Faction/Beginning of/during ULTOR domination of Mars? Uprising against ULTOR? Years between fall of ULTOR and the gradual wankerification of the EDF? After RF:G?
Maybe it will be like LOST, with frequent retrospections on past events in the character's lives. So it could flash back to the RF1 revolutions from the lives of whoever, maybe Eos, Hendrix, Parker, or any of the other people (Admin Gryphon lol).
I hope this happens.
would that mean that the series go like "*slam* *slash* *kaboom*" ?
Would be better if they made it a sitcom.
Guy smashes though the house with his car.
"Honey, I'm home."
Laugh track plays.
Red Faction is good because of the destruction, not the story or setting. Why would they make this into a TV show?
Action movie.
I suppose I'm the only one who thinks this could work without needless destruction, then. Because the RF universe is pretty interesting really. Maybe I'm just one of those people who can really get into the backstory surrounding a game than the game itself.

For me the back story was always negligible, it was just a reason to blow scenery or buildings up.
I kinda like the idea. Just hope it doesn't have cheap effects or has a poor plot.
It's SyFy.
