You see my points about him than.

Religion is one of the major things that pulled people into large groups, wars or not, the world would not be the same without religion. God is real, maybe not as some mystic being, but as a beacon of hope, he's real.

Quite the pessimist here.
uhh
if god wanted that why would he even let us have hospitals and medicine
Theses are the people who give religion a bad name. Case and point that man has never read the bible seeing as it clearly states god give help but never fixes. If you haven't guessed the doctors would be the help he gives.
Manslaughter is carelessly killing a man. It's not manslaughter when a doctor prescribes a drug that may cure the patient but it doesn't is it? Prayer was the prescription, and it didn't do the job. And he honestly and truly believed it would.
Allah says I must kill the American infidels. If I honestly and truly believe that this is the right thing to do, does that mean that it's okay?
Causes and excuses are equally bad.
Really? I shot a guy and my excuse is religion, but I shot him for being a 'dirty spick'. That's not equally bad, that's me spouting shit.

You might as well say a flag or a symbol is real. That's what you just called him, and yes, any symbol is real. He isn't real. He is ONLY a symbol. Why ANYONE wastes their life over a SYMBOL is beyond me, and is essentially worthless.

I'm not going to say that religion was useless. I'm sure it was good at some point, to have some sort of place holder for an explanation. The point is, that at this point in time, it is hopelessly outdated and only cripples humanity's potential.

When you say this guy was justified, you're spouting shit.

...Durr!
That's ENTIRELY different. You being stupid doesn't change what something is.

If he *is* the symbol, that makes him real.
If he *is* the symbol, that makes him real.
Reality is not affected by how you see it.
If he *is* the symbol, that makes him real.
...No... Not at all. It makes him a symbol. Not a reality, not a being. A symbol.

That was in response to "Excuses are as bad as causes" if I use religion as an excuse I would have shot that spick anyway. So it made no difference excuse or not.

Just because something is a symbol, it isn't necessarily real.

An excuse allows you to get away with something, or convince others to join you.
...No... Not at all. It makes him a symbol. Not a reality, not a being. A symbol.
A symbol is an abstraction, but it's still a thing. Atleast as defined by the English language. It is interchangeable with a thought. So it's something.

No an excuse is you trying to get out of something, and you may or may not.

Good job. Now please understand that this doesn't make god real, that it only proves that god exists as a human belief.

I forget where I was going with this. It's 2AM forgive me.

No. This is different. Entirely. One is getting other people to join your army, and fight for your cause. No one would fight for A, so you tell them B.
What you're saying is you did something for reason A, and you're blaming it on B. You don't have to convince people of anything.

No. That proves it's an idea. Not a being. God is supposed to be a being. However, it's just an idea.

Read my previous post.
What he said.
No not what he said. The athiest dictators and killers are just as bad as the christian ones, and get just as much support.
Stalin didn't use God as an excuse and he killed rediculous amounts of people.
Everyone stop arguing. This was obviously God's plan for this young girl, and we need to respect this decision.

It seems that the atheist dictators face much more scrutiny then the religious ones? Anyway, this is pretty off topic. I'm pretty sure the topic is how stupid this man is for letting his daughter die because of his belief in an imaginary friend.

Yeah, but he oh come the fuck on
You're just impossible to debate with.

...Holy fuck.
Stalin also didn't use athiesm as an excuse to kill people. He used his own power grasp for that. Guess who else does that? The pope(Crusades era and after). Name a leader that's openly athiest besides Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot(Also, none of those wars were rallied behind god, and had no religious bindings, often were political/nationalist, and ethnic reasons. As strong feelings as relgion. Learn history before arguing this shit.

Actually let's pool this together...
Until the 1700s most cultures depended on god as their main source of infrastructure. Which makes it something. You've got alot more than a single point to tally there. For the record I'm agnostic. I don't give a fuck about Atheism or Religion to hold an opinion. You're all douchebags for fighting about it.
