• Another Oil Rig Explodes in Gulf

Why does this keep happening, I thought people were smarter than this....
Is this gonna be a regular thing now or some shit?
But the rig was only owned, not operated or made by, so it's not really their fault also BP is also mostly owned by Americans
Your avatar fits you well. It was operated under another company but it was still owned by BP and it was their responsibility for maintenance, up keeping and general drilling plans. All those "enhancements" on the kill switch were instructed to be done by BP. Not by the company operating the rig which hadn't changed it since its original placement where it stood.
Why do you hate BP so much?
Because they're incompetent.
They say the rig was not currently producing any oil or gas. So it may not be like the first one. Hopefully.
They're not oil rigs in the gulf sea anymore they're water rigs in the gulf oil pool
Jesus the ocean is really getting fucked over...
Guys, it's obviously God's will to destroy the Gulf of Mexico. Let's just let him take it and be over with it.
Time for a new fuel source.
Let's make cars that runs on water instead.
Moratorium here we come.
We seriously need a better fuel source
Let's make cars that runs on water instead.
There's no fucking water left
Even China can get their shit together! But America noo!
There's no fucking water left
What?
Christ maybe now everyone can get off BP's back. If this is going to be a regular occurrence then maybe its the frikin safety laws governing how these firms operate which aren't stringent enough. Of course business's are going to cut corners to save money. But they'll rarely openly operate illegally. Toughen up on safety laws, countermeasures etc, and this can be avoided in future. On a side note about fuel sources, do you know we've attained nuclear fusion to 1.7 (1 being the tipping point where the energy put in matches the energy gained from the reaction). That said it was only for a fraction of a second. And to make fusion commercially viable that number would have to be up to 15 ish. But we are getting there! Fusion power by 2050 I say. And with seemingly infinite fusion power many of the worlds poverty problems will gradually begin to disappear.
You have got to be FUCKING kidding me.
Let's make cars that runs on water instead.
Yeah its saturated with enough oil and chemicals, WHY NOT?
Been confirmed by AP and Coast Guard that this one is leaking oil into the sea as well. :eng99:
Been confirmed by AP and Coast Guard that this one is leaking oil into the sea as well. :eng99:
That part was obvious.
:colbert:
That part was obvious.
Not really, they weren't sure if it was leaking oil since it wasn't producing oil at the time of the explosion.
Why does this keep happening, I thought people were smarter than this....
I warned you about the rigs bro. I told you dog.
This one won't be a pain though to fix though right? I'm assuming its not as deep as BP's one?
Not really, they weren't sure if it was leaking oil since it wasn't producing oil at the time of the explosion.
If an oil rig explodes 99% chance there will be oil leaking.
If an oil rig explodes 99% chance there will be oil leaking.
Stop pulling numbers out of your ass. The explosion can range from some minor auxiliary container to the main piping.
Stop pulling numbers out of your ass. The explosion can range from some minor auxiliary container to the main piping.
Says who? Have you worked on an oil rig? If all 13 people were thrown overboard, chances are it was enough to rip a hole through the main piping.
Doubt they were all thrown overboard, while all uninjured except one. More like something exploded, and they jumped off in fear of more explosions.
It said 13 were found floating in the water. Re-read the article.
