It's a Robot, it isn't sentinent, it doesn't care.
Always this sentimentality with you blokes.
Why do you have to be so mean? :smith:
Even if it isn't sentient, it's our creation. A little autonomous robot that can probe things on an alien world. To the engineers, to assemble such a machine would feel like having a son to take care of.
And that robotic, non-sentient yet cared for child was blasted away from the Earth at interplanetary escape velocities, landed on Mars, probed stuff from a place where nobody would be able to repair it if it was ever damaged, and got stuck for some time, and now, it is finally dead. And there's nothing one can do.
Get your logic away from me, the poor machine needs love :smith:
well at least it went way beyond the life expectancy they gave it, though its sad it had go to eventually
wtf robot cannot live????
That's taking it a bit too far.
You have no heart for those little rovers. :smith:
Daisy... Daisy...
I do, but I'm not obsessing like it's my own son.
We're not. We are just sad for the loss of the Rover, stranded in an alien world, with no one to care and repair it.
Maybe you aren't, Eudoxia is.
I said 'the ENGINEERS'.
I don't work for NASA... I wish I did :smith:
It... Is... A... Robot. It doesn't care. It can't care.
Sentimentality has no place in Science.
D'awww :frown:
Maybe you aren't, Eudoxia is.
No need to be a hardass, let them be sad of the brave little robot's death.
He was a good robot, let's drink to him once again

You can rest easy little rover you did your job...
Yeah you probably think Pluto isn't a planet too you meanie :smith:
It isn't. It's a TNO.
I got over it in five minutes.

Poor little Phoenix D:
maybe the first men to walk on the martian poles can collect phoenix and bring it back to some museum
You can rest easy little rover you did your job...
But it just wants to come home. :saddowns:
Wow, I'm not being a hard ass, I'm just not crying over it.
If I were being a hardass, I'd say:
"Drain the tears out of your vagina you god damn pussy."
Yeah cause you know, showing human emotion overall makes you a bad person.
Ok it's a fucking robot no need to get all broken up about it guys
Showing excessive human emotion over a machine's inevitable breaking, doesn't make you a bad person, it's just not right.
Eudoxia, you've used a sad face ~9 times in 6 posts, it's time to get over it.
Quit being an arse.
This is rather sad.
Hundreds of people die in a disaster? 'Owned'
Robot shuts down in space? 'I LOVE YOU ROBOT COME BACK TO MEEE'
That said, sadness for the robot. And that damn comic too.
Poor little Rover, it's a shame people seem to think they're obligated to get on Eudoxia's ass over his mourning. He's a geek, big deal, most of us are. Live and let live people.
Everything has to break down eventually, even Spirit and Opportunity will stop functioning one of these days.
YOU SHUT UP RIGHT NOW
NASA Doesn't know how to build things that break.. Look at the voyagers!
No! NO! TAKE ME INSTEAD! Poor thing. Atleast it died for the glory of science.
It isn't. It's a TNO.

Pluto is still a planet in my heart. :smith:

It didn't die it just stopped working.

That's because to the average facepuncher, Humanity is full of douchebags, murderers, rapists, and software company owners. (ACTIVISION! >:C)
These little machines have done no wrong and really don't have such a bad rap because Terminator hasn't happened yet.
