This thread makes me SAD :(
If a manned mission to Mars ever takes place I'd like recovering these Rovers a top priority. After all, they did a good job and we should bring them home :saddowns:.
It... Is... A... Robot. It doesn't care. It can't care. Sentimentality has no place in Science.
You don't get to say what has a place in science and what doesn't. I much prefer the scientist who sees the beauty in nature and in our existence than the grumpy, cynical one who goes on about how nothing matters and how it's all just a mistake.

It's is a Robot. It doesn't care. Sentimentality has no place in Science, it doesn't even make sense, even Carl Sagan knew this.
Maybe when we get manned spacecraft to mars, we can recover the little guy, fix it up a bit, and give it an exhibition in some sort of space museum. :unsmith: ... :smith:
I thought you meant the band. :saddowns:

God damn. The news on TV needs to report this stuff instead of crappy "some one in this place done this really un-remarkable thing"
Man stranded on Mars, presumed dead: Who gives a shit Robot stranded on Mars, presumed off: :ohdear:
Because we are all being deadly serious, right?
People were deadly serious about the Pluto shenanigans so some of you could very well be.

I'm sure one day in the disant future it would be recovered and put in a museum. That is if theirs anything left of it by then.
It's not Dead, As you can see from the Picture, It Burrowed under the Martian surface and is beating the fuck out of the Little green men
