Embrace the alcoholism, Perry. embrace it [editline]13th June 2014[/editline] I feel like Perry thinks one thing and says another. He'd be a pretty fun dude to have a conversation with.
Wow America
Glad to know that he considers loving somebody to be on the same level as consuming a drug to the point of destroying your own body.
I gotta get the hell outta this fucking state
a bad politician doesn't mean you have to get out of texas, a lot of this place is pretty nice.
money actually went towards making this those gays in the military are ruining us. . . . .
I wish I remembered the link to version of this video of him proudly saying he's gay, with gay men getting frisky in the background
a bad politician doesn't mean you have to get out of texas, a lot of this place is pretty nice.
if it was austin i'd agree with you but sitkero lives in a corn field
So.. He thinks homosexuality is an addiction?
if it was austin i'd agree with you but sitkero lives in a corn field
strangely austin is one of my, well not least but less favorite places in texas.
I've heard many stories of people going homo after their significant others' deaths, so he must be totally right!
Like, I agree with him on the "You're born that way" thing, but not with the "You can choose not to" thing. He's halfway there I suppose.
I would say that you aren't necessarily born that way, but it never the less is something out of your control. I wasn't born with the tastes I have, but even if I did my very best to convince myself that I hated sausages and that sausages are disgusting and never touched one again; they would still taste delicious because it is out of my control. But on that subject, what difference does it make? Would the harmless act of having gay sex or, for that matter, simply being attracted to a member of the same sex become any more harmful if they did have control over it?
apparently he also has the genetic coding to be a gigantic asshole
I guess people have to come out of the wine cooler now.
I dunno, wine cellar sounds more appropriate.
He's also genetically coded to get that stupid smug face, weird how he just didn't desire to get a different one huh.
I gotta get the hell outta this fucking state
Ignore this guy, living in Texas is not bad at all unless you live in a remote area or are somehow directly touched by Rick Perry.
i get all my moral guidance from people who make a hobby of executing the mentally handicapped
So do you just gather what americans are like from Family Guy? [editline]13th June 2014[/editline]
Ignore this guy, living in Texas is not bad at all unless you live in a remote area or are somehow directly touched by Rick Perry.
Or the near the border with Mexico.
I gotta get the hell outta this fucking state
Just move to Austin, you'll be safe there.
So do you just gather what americans are like from Family Guy?
no Rick Perry specifically did veto a bill banning the execution of the mentally handicapped. but good job immediately leaping to the defense of a man who's breached international law at least twice in order to have someone killed, and in the most recent case did so in order to not alienate republican voters in his presidential campaign. but hey he's American and i'm not, so obviously the only reasonable conclusion is that i'm just mindlessly bashing this rampantly psychopathic fuckwit for no reason.

Rick Perry vetoed a bill to ban the execution of mentally retarded death row inmates, saying the state already has numerous safeguards in place to protect them. “This legislation is not about whether to execute mentally retarded murderers,” Perry said. “It is about who determines whether a defendant is mentally retarded in the Texas justice system.” The bill would have allowed a jury to determine during the trial’s punishment phase whether a defendant is mentally retarded. If so, the person would be sentenced only to life in prison. Existing law takes into account whether a defendant is competent to stand trial, including whether the defendant can aid his own defense and whether a defendant was insane when the crime was committed. Prosecutors say those factors, and the fact that a jury can consider retardation as a mitigating circumstance during sentencing, are sufficient.
Seems the bill was more about letting the Jury decide, rather than a Judge/Legal Team. [editline]13th June 2014[/editline] of course, I don't know what the full bill says so I'm not entirely sure.
to play devil's advocate it does say this Seems the bill was more about letting the Jury decide, rather than a Judge/Legal Team.
but the thing is that if Perry wanted to keep it so that the jury's opinion is only a mitigating factor on the potential punishment rather than subverting it outright, the only conclusion you can draw from that is that he thinks it's alright to execute the mentally handicapped at least some of the time. i think if he cared as much as he puts on then he would have a mental handicap count as much more than a mitigating factor, which he patently does not as evidenced by him explicitly voting against it.
Like, I agree with him on the "You're born that way" thing, but not with the "You can choose not to" thing. Nah the gay thing. Thought that would be a bit more obvious :P
God, I wish we could just round up and exile people like Rick Perry. Not put them in camps or anything, but give them their own shitty little country and watch it regress straight back to the Dark Ages. hurr durr just stop being gay
This reminds me of a local car-dealer baron whose doctor told him that eating a steak was the same as shooting up heroin. AND HE BELIEVED HIM SO NOW HE'S A VEGAN.
Like, I agree with him on the "You're born that way" thing, but not with the "You can choose not to" thing. He's halfway there I suppose.
I think he was right by accident though. He also just said you can be born an alcoholic.
What the hell is going on with people in this god damn world?
